Surround yourself with nature in our peaceful fields. We have beautiful far reaching views of Dartmoor with swallows and skylarks gliding and singing serenely overhead. Add to this stunning sunsets over Dartmoor and clear, starry skies at night. We have peace and tranquility yet without being too far away from, amongst other places, the quirky, bustling, bohemian town of Totnes and the serenity of Dartmouth. Our local pub, serving great food, is only a short walk from the campsite.

Great Staple dome sits at the back of the meadow and is fully insulated with a wood-burning stove to keep it toasty. 

Relax on the swing seat in the large decked area. Cook over your own fire pit by the stream, or use the large fully equipped kitchen. 

As always this dome has its own toilet and shower room.

The dome is fully insulated with a wood-burning stove to keep it nice and toasty.

Sheepstor dome is a huge insulated dome, kept really warm by a wood-burning stove. 

Enjoy cooking over your own fire pit, or bbq, or use the fully equipped kitchen, inc fridge.

It has its own toilet and shower room.

Sheepstor Domes

Hound Tor Dome is isolated at the end of the meadow, sleeps 4, and is insulated with a wood-burning stove to keep it toasty.

Relax in the wood-fired hot tub, cook over the fire pit by the stream, or use the fully equipped kitchen, inc fridge. 

Like all our Domes it has its own bathroom and toilet.

Drakes View is all about keeping it simple. No flashy facilities or complicated set-up here: just a small number of grass pitches without toilets, showers or waste-disposal facilities (essentials like water are taken care of, though).

Our facilities are basic and designed to be in keeping with the natural environment they are set in and to ensure they have minimal impact on the land. All totally off-grid, no electric hook-ups, no flushing toilets, just mother nature at her best.

Compost loo’s, heated showers and washing facilities are all offered up in rustic wooden huts, cleaned thoroughly, multiple times every day.  Please consider whether you can cope with compost loo’s before you book! Have a look at our photos below to see if it’s for you. 

- 15 acres of grassy fields for free-range camping.

- Designated quiet camping field.

- 7 compost loos. 3 urinals.

- 5 Hot showers.

- Washing up facility.

- Washing and changing area.

- Multiple water stations located around the site. All water is drinking water.

- Recycling and waste area.

- A small farm shop supplying locally sourced produce such as sausages, eggs, bread as well as other food and drink items and camping essentials. Here you can hire out BBQ’s and fire-pits.

- Freezer space for ice packs.

- Communal hangout barn. An area to chill and relax with others, also a place to head to on those (inevitable) rainy days.

- Animal feeding time – come and feed our little Jersey calves, pet lambs and chickens!
 
- Electrical charging- we do offer the use of power points at reception for charging devices for a small fee.
 
- Dog-friendly. – Furry companions of all sizes are welcome, provided they are kept under control.

This flag that is blue beach is an ideal spot for a family group outing, with safe swimming far from the river, regarding the gently shelving sands. Canoeing and windsurfing are popular here when the tide is you'll be able to check out Burgh Island via sea tractor, an original raised carriage on tractor wheels!Lifeguard cover May to September; restrictions of dogs for similar duration out you often see kite buggies swinging round the sands for the bay.At high tides.
