This hut was handmade by a very creative and resourceful father and son team, they started with an old army trailer for the chassis, Alison supplied the Western Red cedar from Canada and they used all sorts of bits and bobs from their antiques and salvage yard to give it that wonderful quirky character. The sandstone hearth was reclaimed from a two hundred year old property, a gorgeous bit of gnarly elm was used for the log rack, vintage carpenters' planes for shelf brackets, an old copper pot for the kitchen sink and Victorian stained glass window and a large old wooden lock used on the stable door. The hut has a log burning hot tub, free Wi-Fi, all crockery and cookware, halogen oven, 2 ring hob, microwave, fridge, freezer TV/Netflix Bose Bluetooth speaker, hairdryer, linen and towels, electric fire, fire pit, outdoor dining area, the boats and a gift from us, to take away with you. ****Cleaning is a mandatory one off fee charged at £35 per stay** Logs are available from the log store on the deck at £7 per bag Outside the large raised deck provides a lovely view over the burn which runs down into Loch Garry just 100m away. The deck hosts a table, chairs and the wooden hot tub, heated with a log-burner. There are also two canoes, two paddle boards, family canoe and a rowing boat, all of which you may use during your stay. Please note that the deck does overlook the woodlands and the firepit which is a communal area. The hut measures 7.5 x 2.4m which gives an amazing spacious feel, yet remains incredibly cosy. The hut is also equipped with USB sockets, iron, ironing board, TV, kettle, toaster, a cafetière, pots n pans, playing cards, a few DVDs, marshmallow toasting fork for the fire pit in the woods, coat rack with a grill beneath to allow any wet boots and coats do drip and dry. There’s a hosepipe outside to wash off excessive mud on your dog, boots or bikes. Hot water is supplied by a small water heater over the copper sink and the shower is electric. The basin in the shower room only has a cold tap.
