We have been running surfing lessons in North Devon since 1988 and are one of the longest established surf schools in the U.K.

The North Devon Surf School is the top rated surf school in the U.K, holding the "Centre of Excellence" award by the ISA and Surfing England.

Westward Ho! beach is a stunning 2 miles of golden sands, patrolled by the RLNI lifeguards and has been awarded the European Blue Flag award for clean water every year for the past 16 years.

We have a resident elite coach who holds a Level 4 coaching award from the ISA and Surfing England, this is the highest coaching qualification there is - it's like a PhD in surfing! He also has over 30 years of international coaching expertise and with the professionalism from our surf school team we ensure that everything we do is to the highest of standards.

We pride ourselves on our facilities of male and female heated changing rooms, secure storage, toilets, shower, surf shop and café, all on a big sunny decked area.

We are proud of the lessons we run and the service we offer, we love the fact that over 70% of our lessons are repeat bookings from previous years.

HALF DAY A great introduction to the basics of surfing. Approximately 20 mins of beach training followed by 90 mins of surfing. All equipment included.

PRIVATE LESSONS You will have your own senior surfing coach working exclusively with you to maximise your skill level. Suitable for individuals and small groups. All equipment included.
