Looking for a surfing lesson in Yorkshire? Look no further, weve been equipping surfers since 1989 and providing lessons in Scarborough for over 15 years!

Using our many years of coaching and personal surfing experience we have refined our lessons to make sure you get the best possible result from your time with us. Our professional and encouraging coaches will get you up and surfing with good technique, confidence and style whilst having a whole lot of fun along the way!

Our goal is to provide you with an informative, exhilarating and most of all fun surfing experience. Whether you are a complete beginner wanting to give surfing a try for the first time, an improver wanting to progress to unbroken waves or are experienced and want to work on nailing a particular manoeuvre, you will find a session with our expert coaches will give you that solid foundation to build on.

All our coaches are knowledgeable surfers who are qualified ISA surf coaches and SLSGB lifeguards. They are professional, approachable and understanding and will ensure you have the best experience in and out of the water.

We have a wide range of equipment available for beginner to advanced surfers. All participants are supplied with a warm 5mm full length wetsuit, Surfboard and wetsuit accessories when required.

Our stunning cliff top location has parking, changing facilities, toilets and hot showers available as well as a picnic and BBQ area.

The lessons are run at two time slots each day, 10am and 1pm seven days a week. We ask you to arrive 15 minutes prior to your booking to get you kitted up in 5mm wetsuits and onto the sand, if you require an early or late session then please call and we will do our best to accommodate you.

GROUP LESSON

Learn to surf at Scarborough Surf School on the stunning Yorkshire coast and prepare to get highly addicted. Our Taster Surfing Lessons introduce you to this exhilarating and fun sport, teaching you the basics, from beach safety to stand up surfing.

Here at our Activity Centre and Surf School, we offer Taster lessons for all first-time surfers whatever your motivation.

ONE TO ONE LESSON

With one-to-one tuition, youll get the absolute most out of your surf lesson. The Private surf lesson is the most progressive and personal available, and youll see the fastest progression of your surf skills.

ONE TO TWO LESSON
Price: &pound;65pp

With one-to-two tuition you can capitalise on the coaches time as well as having the opportunity of sharing the experience with another. Not only does this allow for a faster progression of surf skills but also provides a very memorable experience with another!

PRIVATE GROUP LESSON

Private small group lessons are ideal for families and friends, they are more flexible if you only have certain dates you can attend and we can still offer alternative activities if the surf is flat.

Recommended minimum ages for family lessons are 7-8yrs, we do have a range of bodyboards for the younger students which we have found are great for building confidence in the Sea.

INTERMEDIATE-ADVANCED COACHING

GROMMETS SUMMER CLUB
Price: &pound;140pp

Our Summer Surf Club is run Monday to Friday 9.30 am  11.00 am and is suitable for beginner and improver wave riders between the ages of 8 and 15yrs, all we ask is that the students must be able to swim 25m and that parents remain on site with under Tens.
Dates W/C August Mon 6th, Mon 13th, Mon 20th x 5 Days.


STAG / HEN PARTIES / CO-ORPORATE GROUPS

We have become experts in catering for groups, our top class facilities and a wide range of activity options mean that even if the surf is flat we can still get you in the water for an action-packed day of fun.
This summer we have had group bookings from Firemen, Lifeboat crews, Soldiers, Boy Scouts, Stag and Hen parties just to name a few!
If you are needing to organise a co-operate day out we can tailor the perfect set of activities to get you and your team both excited and motivated and we can do this whatever the weather.

LESSON & SESSION

Learn to Surf by packing in stacks of water time into your surf day with our Lesson and Session Surf Day. This includes a thorough surf coaching session, time to grab a drink and a snack, then a free surf session to practice your skills all in the same day!

Youll get a two-hour group surfing lesson in the morning, designed to match your riding ability. Improvers or absolute beginners are all welcome. Then, in the afternoon, with the mornings tuition in mind, well send you on your way to practice your new moves

If you are booked in for a group lesson you can upgrade to Lesson and Session on the day.

Playdale Farm Park is on a daily basis that is fantastic for all the family regardless of the weather!Down in the animal barn you will get to meet and feed alpacas, sheep, goats, ponies, donkeys, pigs, llamas, rabbits, guinea pigs, cheeky chipmunks, chinchillas and hens. Into the spring you can bottle feed a lamb or cuddle a baby chick! There's a golf program with a significant difference here, it is Frisbee golf! Yes abandon the attempt and club to throw the Frisbee through the holes in the farm photo boards. Then competition the family round the pedal go-kart tracks before checking out the interior play area with ball pool, tractor zone, adventure path and more if that game brings out your competitive side! A afternoon that is excellent!
