From forest walks and wildlife encounters to winter sports, fishing and waterskiing, get cracking right on site, as this small Leicestershire park for touring vehicles has its own fishing pond, bookable in advance. The 1620s House and Garden, previously known as Donington Le Heath Manor House, is an illustration that is excellent of home which was built around 700 years back, and updated in 1618. A means that is fantastic your loved ones to see how life changed through that time!Newly refurbished and re-opened in 2016, the first manor house had been once owned and fashionably 'modernised' around 1618 by the household of Everard Digby, among the infamous Gunpowder Plotters. See restored rooms and shows on medieval life, experience residing history re-enactments, or enjoy unique regular occasions including pleasant summer evening performances in the recreated seventeenth century design gardens.Period gardens and woodland surround the Manor home, and can include flower and herb gardens, an orchard, and an maze that is decorative. If you fancy some refreshment after all that checking out, decide to try the Old Barn Tearoom, that is available at weekends during term time, and also to Sunday during school vacations wednesday.
