One motorhome, caravan or campervan per pitch. The 5 caravan and motorhome pitches are arranged like spokes so that each has uninterrupted views north wards over the Derbyshire Dales.  There is plenty of room next to each pitch for awnings and sitting out at the side or front.  BBQs and fire pits are great as long as raised off the ground and unless the grass is tinder dry in Summer.

This year our Cowslip yurt moved into The Glade; an exclusive, private part of the farm, surrounded by trees, a wild pond and its own little footpath style entrance, as well as its own unique handmade long framed tipi equipped as an indoor-outdoor kitchen and dining area.

We have 2 unique eco-yurt stays, both come fully equipped with comfy beds, log burners, furniture, equipped kitchen with stove, cooking ware and drinking water sink, solar lighting, outdoor standing BBQ, large circle fire pit and a compost loo and hot shower.

We offer a unique ‘back to basics’ camping experience on our working farm in Derbyshire. Our limited facilities are offset by the panoramic views of the Peak District and stunning sunsets to the west.

-   No fixed pitches; campers use a selection of fields dependent on livestock grazing and haymaking.
-    No electricity hook-up; enjoy the sounds of the countryside without your hair-dryer or DAB radio.
-    No hot water or showers for campers; mains drinking water taps on bright blue pipes are available in the fields for your use.
-    Environmentally friendly; compost toilets and long-drops facilities.
-    We allow campfires; provided no damage to the ground is caused, i.e the fire is on a fire pan, brazier or BBQ. We have handmade fire pan’s available for use free of charge.
-    Large log bags; available to buy for £5 a bag, one bag will last three-four hours burning, or bring your own! (no nails please)
-    Well-behaved dogs; are allowed by arrangement. We have free-range livestock including lambs and poultry, so dogs must be kept under close control at all times.

A chuffhead that is correct delight.once you visit the railway you are able to enjoy a scenic and unique twenty moment train jaunt through dramatic limestone scenery; hear all about how and exactly why the railway was built and learn its plans for the future!Plus investigate some vintage locomotives and rolling stock to discover work with progress on the extensions towards Middleton plus the National rock Centre, where you are able to find out fossils of brachiopods and crinoids amongst the crazy plants: cool!
