Meadow View Campsite welcomes tents, caravans and motor homes. The small, level site has grass and hard-standing spaces, electric hook-up points, and free toilets and showers. Wifi is available and there is no charge for dogs.

There is a log pod available to hire which can sleep up to four people and comes equipped with a futon, bunks for children, television, microwave and kettle. There is a small American motorhome available to rent, and we have static caravans that are available to rent for short or longer periods of time. Bedding can be provided for an extra fee.

Meadow View is situated on the edge of Wicken. The small village has a rare twelve-sided smock mill, a picturesque duck pond and a number of thatched properties. The latter includes the local pub, the Maids Head, which serves a good range of food. Within easy walking distance of the campsite is Wicken Fen Nature Reserve, the first-ever property acquired by the National Trust in 1899. It has a visitor centre, a small cafe and various walking trails. There are many other walking opportunities in the locality: one pleasant stroll follows the Lode to the hamlet of Upware where you can enjoy a meal at the Five Miles from Anywhere No Hurry Inn.

Wicken is ideally placed to explore the countryside of East Anglia. The small city of Ely which is dominated by its cathedral, The Ship of the Fens, is 10 miles away as is Newmarket, the historic home of horse racing. Both are served by several high street stores as well as Tesco and Waitrose.

Surrounded by stunning Fenland countryside, Fields End Water in Cambridgeshire is a beautifully quiet and peaceful retreat for adults only. Whether you are looking for a couple of nights away or a longer break, Fields End Water is an excellent choice if you want to relax, unwind and explore the pretty local area. It is a large, well laid out, rolling green site, with two highly rated fishing lakes, footpaths, mature shrubs and immaculate pitches. The campsite is very dog friendly and has a number of good local walks plus its very own enclosed space to allow your dog to have a good run around in the safety of the campsite.

This 5-star park constantly gets rave reviews and it is not difficult to see why very happy holiday makers book here again and again. The facilities are excellent and include everything you could possibly need and bags more. Spotless toilet and shower blocks, laundry, wifi, a reception and shop, and an onsite cafe serving excellent meals, drinks and snacks. On top of it all, the staff here are exceptionally friendly and helpful. It’s a happy place. The lovely fishing lakes are charming and tranquil, and open to all who wish to have a go - and it is a pretty serious affair; some absolute corkers have been pulled out of these waters. They are well stocked with carp, chubb, perch and tench among others.

At Fields End Water the large pitches are set out beautifully. There is a huge choice depending on your preferences and whether you are in a tent, a caravan or a large motorhome, with fully serviced pitches (water, electric, grey waste hook-up) or regular pitches (with electric hook up), both on grass and hardstanding, and the large spaces give you plenty of room to set up and have some distance from your neighbour. You can choose to pitch up in the main caravan park, or the grassy paddock or set up your motorhome right near the water’s edge by booking one of their brand new Waterside pitches. Another new addition to the Waterside area are four boutique glamping pods, and if you are looking for a luxurious stay and something a bit special, then this is the place for you. Slade Paddock is in the beautiful small village of Witcham, in East Anglia. This is a small and friendly family run site which is on a working farm. Surrounded by farmland and lovely walks, our secure, gated site is well located and close to many great locations to visit.

On-site, we have a charming quirky relaxed pub, called “The Humble Pig”. BBQ’s are allowed on the spacious, open grounds if you’re keen to rustle up food alfresco – we also provide one on-site for your use. All of our pitches are large, flat and closely mowed, and all have 16 amp electric hook up and water. There is also free Wifi available throughout the site.

There is a bus service in the village from the local green which takes you to Ely. We also have a dog walking track directly opposite the site.

BHS authorized Witcham Equestrian Centre provide a variety of well mannered mounts for classes in riding and dressage, plus provide a separate Pony Club and features including a floodlit interior arena of 30m x 50m and Gideon the amazing horse that is technical! The schooling facilities are mainly interior, with garden access. Short scenic hacks are around for people who've had experience that is enough be competent and confident, therefore it is well worth using some lessons so you can all go checking out together! Their Nationally Recognised Pony Club offer horsey children to possiblity to pretend they have a pony for a time and get insight and learning stable administration and grooming also getting some tuition that is riding perhaps even feeding them! Plus Ely it self is a charming town to explore and you also're good and close here (for the peace and quiet at the centre!) why maybe not browse our other listings and expand your day into some other activities too  you would not know it? BHS authorized Sedgeway Equestrian Centre provide a variety of well mounts that are mannered private, semi private and team classes, that are available from 5 years upwards. Training occurs into the silica sand based school that is indoor the 20m x 40m outdoor school, and that means you've got all climate options!  More knowledgeable riders can enjoy hacking that is scenic bridle way systems with no roadwork and a cross country ride can be acquired with jumps and hurdles. Additional facilities readily available for hire include the show jumps, the Arena that is indoor and Cross nation Schooling areas, plus they provide complete livery services. The staff are friendly, experienced and thinking about horses which things in is everything required to possess every day that is very good with animal loving children. Then 6 to 12 12 months olds with an eye fixed to your future takes Junior Progressive Riding Tests, which the Sedgeway centre are qualified to exact if the kids actually decide to try it. So start them down with just a little trot on a pony and that knows, they are able to get a career into the field (no pun intended!).
