Upon arrival in the field, stay right and come up the track to the small red building (compost toilet). Keep going all the way to the bell tent, turn left and the general camping areas are on the left hand side.

OUR STORY
After many years in the rat race of London, we decided as a family to invest in a simpler and more sustainable life.

So, we decided to leave the hustle and bustle of London chaos and enjoy life in the countryside in the quiet of the Somerset hills. We are also delighted to announce the arrival of new baby Bodhi to have joined the family in March 2021.

Our vision is as simple as the life we are aspiring towards: to create a happy and sustainable planet and our method is to create a microcosm of this utopia in the small way that we can using the space and resources we have available to us.

By 2025, we aim for a holistic wellbeing and happiness centre, with camping, glamping, meditation retreats, tours of the project and a sustainable agriculture education centre - enjoy it with us as we continue on our journey to grow and develop into something beautiful...


CAMPSITE RULES
Here at Splatt Farm, we don't want to create unnecessary and restrictive rules. However, in order to ensure the happiness of all of our guests and neighbours, we ask that all guests follow the following:

1. Once unpacked and set up, please park your cars at the top end of the field near the entrance. No cars may be parked on or near camping pitches.


2. All fires, BBQs and stoves must be within the fire pit area on your pitch.


3. No amplified music is allowed on site after 9pm and no noise at all that disturbs others is allowed after 11pm.


4. This is an eco-friendly site. All recyclable rubbish must be separated and placed in the appropriate bin and all non-recyclable waste must be taken off-site with you.


5. Check-in is from 2pm and check-out is by 10am.


6. If your group is under 21, a behaviour deposit of £20 per person is required and if your group is under 18, no alcohol is allowed.


7. Your camping pitch must be left as you found it.

Splatt Farm Gardens Camping

Our three lotus belle tents are positioned in a beautiful quiet paddock with stunning surrounding countryside views.

The large canvas tents are very sturdy and suitable for use in all weather conditions. Great for families or small groups, each tent sleeps up to four adults on comfortable single futons.

Designed for people looking to get away from it all, there is no electricity supply in the tents.

However, toilet and shower facilities are just a short walk away along with a communal kitchen/dining area.

Unfortunately dogs are not permitted in this accommodation.

LOTUS BELLE TENTS 

In a peaceful private spot on the edge of the vineyard, our two Shepherd’s Hut’s are ideal for couples looking for a romantic getaway.

Each beautiful hut has a Scandinavian Wood Fired Hot Tub to provide you both with the perfect environment to relax and unwind together in the most beautiful surroundings.

The huts on their original iron chassis, are made of wood with old fashioned wheels and steps leading up to a double stable door entrance. The doors and windows allow plenty of sunlight to stream in or allow you to watch the sun set over the vineyard from the comfort of your double bed if you wish! Inside there is also a kettle, toaster, fridge and a traditional wood burning stove in shepherds hut 


Shared toilet facilities, this accommodation is the ultimate luxurious glamping experience for couples. Each hut sleeps two adults. Both are only a short walk from kitchen and dining facilities.

These are ideal for families or big groups. Paddocks are close together with nine Wigwams in Quantock and eight in Vineyard, both with stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

Wigwams are the latest innovation in rustic accommodation providing the best bits about camping without all the challenges. Full insulation and double glazing keeps wigwams warm and cosy with electricity (already pre-loaded before guests arrival) giving heat, light and power. An opening window allows for stunning views of the surroundings and ventilation on warm summers days.

There is 6 large wigwams that sleep up to max 4 persons on comfy platforms, making them the ideal choice for family glamping holiday. All wigwams include a panel heater, electric lighting and power sockets.

These beautiful structures are the very best glamping cabins you could possibly stay in!

We have 3 lodges that can sleep up to 4 adults with plenty of space inside for comfort and ease. This cabin is fitted with en-suite toilet, full size kitchen including oven, fridge, units and a spacious worktop. Accommodation comprises 2 pull out sofa beds, a double bed, under bed storage units and a radiator. Five windows and a large full screen glazed door panel ensure ample natural light to provide a beautiful living environment offering plenty of opportunity to enjoy the views.

**What do we need to bring?”**

Please bring sleeping bags, pillows, towels, torch, crockery, cutlery etc for use inside or outside your accommodation. There is a kitchen / dining room with everything you need for cooking and eating however we ask that all crockery etc is not taken out of the kitchen.

TOURING & MOTORHOME
Idyllic positions overlooking the confluence of the rivers Cripps and Brue. There are 6 hard standing pitches which are all fully serviced. 4 along the riverside and 2  just behind the riverside pitches. Probably some of the best riverside pitches for caravanning in Somerset.
Once you become a regular at Cripps Farm you will receive a 10% discount on every booking made on the touring site.
Minimum of two nights to be booked and Three-nights on a bank holiday weekend.
Occupancy shall be from 12 pm on the day of arrival to 11 am on the day of departure unless agreed otherwise.
Extra charges- Fishing lakes £5 a day or £3 for half a day, showers at 50p via the meter, Wi-fi and laundry facilities.
Store and stay – no more towing, let us site your caravan on your chosen pitch ready for your arrival and place your caravan back into storage, once your holiday has ended.

Dogs
Quiet dogs are welcome accompanied by responsible owners by prior agreement. You must ensure that the dog(s) are always kept on a lead. All fouling must be collected and disposed of using the bags and bins provided. Don’t leave your dogs’ alone in the caravans for long periods of time.  All fouling is to be cleared up before departure.



TOURING & MOTORHOME

Hidden away in a peaceful corner of the lovely county of Somerset, on the banks of a river and in beautifully landscaped grounds, you will be very warmly welcomed at Cripps Farm Holidays.  Set across acres of rolling farmland near Bason Bridge, Cripps Farm is just a few miles from the seaside town of Burnham-on-Sea and the many coastal attractions nearby.  Guests staying at the campsite will be treated to glorious views across Somerset to the Mendips, Glastonbury Tor and the Quantock hills.  

Cripps Farm Holidays have lots of accommodation options and something for everyone.  There are 29 seasonal pitches, fully serviced and with either a riverside or countryside view - both stunning - which make for a rather special permanent holiday retreat for those who manage to bag one.  Not to worry if you don’t, there are also six good sized touring pitches, fully serviced and boasting possibly some of the loveliest riverside spots in Somerset.  In addition to this, they have 4 self catering cottages to book as well, all within the same carefully looked after and landscaped grounds, with pristine flowers beds and well-mown fields.

There are a number of peaceful walks around the campsite’s surrounding fields, including a long enclosed walk where your dog can have a good run around.  There is a well maintained toilet and shower block with underfloor heating and laundry facilities.  For those who like angling, the stars of the show are two rather lovely fishing lakes which are very well stocked with Rudd, Roach, Perch, Bream, Chub, Tench and Carp.  Fishing on the River Cripps and River Bure is also available.  And if you have canoes, explore the river from the water and enjoy the abundance of wildlife; look out for kingfishers, buzzards, otters and wild deer among other things.  Along with the wild animals to spot, there are also lots of farm animals for the kids to meet here, including cows, pigs and lambs in the spring.

There is so much to explore and enjoy in the local area, from Victorian seaside towns, medieval villages, stunning beaches, miles of rural countryside full of wildlife and nature trails, the gorges and caves of the Mendips and the lovely cities of Wells and Bath.  The location of Cripps Farm is incredible for exploring all of Somerset’s gems, but relaxing at the campsite might just be all the holiday you need, it really is a lovely spot.  Especially with the news that this year sees the opening of Cripps River Spa, a little haven of tranquility right on the campsite, offering a sauna, hot tub (with stunning views across the countryside of course), a treatment room and all round blissful relaxation.  It doesn’t get much better than that.  With walking, cycling, fishing all on your doorstep, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and bustling towns and pretty villages to explore, this Somerset campsite makes for a great holiday destination.

Silver Belle is a Land Rover Defender 110 TD5. She's travelled extensively, including Sub Saharan Africa (twice), and loves a Road trip. Silver Belle sleeps 3 people (2 in the double bed in the pop-top roof and one in the back on the sofa) and seats 3 people and has the advantage of two awnings and plenty of storage space. She is at home wild camping with her own solar panel and leisure batteries or can be plugged in to an electric site hook-up if staying at campsites. All prices include insurance, mileage (100 miles a day) and full camping equipment.

Located in the South of Somerset, just a mile from the M5, we are at the gateway to Devon and Cornwall. From here you can explore Dartmoor, Exmoor, Somerset, Dorset, the South coast or South Wales.

Our vehicles are fully prepared to take you anywhere you choose to go, and include all the camping gear you'll need. Just pack your clothes and essentials and get out exploring.

Should you want more than camping gear, we can also offer you Paddle Boards, Firepits, GoPros and much more to make your Camping trip a memory to last a lifetime.

Defender Campers

Spacious grass pitch  for campervan or tent with car. One vehicle per pitch. Pitches are at least 12-14m diameter.Spacious pitch with plenty of room for large tents.  We do not charge extra for gazebos/pup tents etc. The camping field is car-free to make a peaceful and safe environment for everyone on site. The car park is next to the camping field. Wheelbarrows are available for bringing your belongings the very short distance to your pitch.

Premium Pitch

Buckland Farm Camping is situated in Somerset at the foot of the beautiful Blackdown Hills, on our working farm.

When you holiday with us, you will be in a great central location for exploring the local area whether by foot, bike or car.  There is something for everyone here, with lots to see and do within easy reach.

Or you can sit back and relax – toast marshmallows under the stars, or enjoy a glass of wine or cup of coffee while your children are making new friends at our central play and picnic area.

Our back-to-nature campsite is new this year, and we are looking forward to the arrival of our first guests.  We welcome everyone – individuals, families, couples and dogs, who have their own off lead activity/exercise area.

Your dogs deserve a holiday too and at Buckland Farm, we welcome your four legged friends.  

Being a farm, we do ask that you keep your dog on a lead at all times, unless in the fenced ‘activity area’. Thank you.

Burton Springs is set in the tranquil hamlet of Burton, surrounded by the beautiful Somerset Countryside.
We offer a range of camping, caravan or glamping pod experiences.
We also have the unique opportunity to fish for carp to 30lbs, catfish to 80lbs or pleasure fish for assorted species.

Sweet climate? Take full advantage of the sunshine - case your sunlight lotion, put on your bikini and go out to locate a fossil that is real Kilve Beach near Bristol.This rocky stretch for the coastline is full of historic miracles. You can view a great amount of genuine fossil nevertheless lodged within the cliffs over the beach. Do not you will need to just take any true house however! Kilve is a niche site of Special Scientific Interest, so it's forbidden to remove the fossils.A day that is sluggish the coastline is a strong family favourite - just unwind and luxuriate in the sun to the noise of kids playing and waves washing on the coast with a quiet Woosh. Despite the fact that Kilve Beach is not really sandy, there're some good patches of lawn just behind the beach where you could create a picnic that is beautiful awesome views of this water.

Children can run free at Great Wood. With over 627 hectares of woodland to explore there's a good amount of outdoor adventure to be enjoyed. Winding, waymarked tracks await you and your family of keen explorers. The hiking path is referred to as moderate, so be sure to wear your walking gear that is most beneficial. Most of the family members can come along too, the woodland tracks allow it to be easy for pushchairs to navigate their method round the surroundings that are stunning whilst older siblings splash in puddles and jump in crunching leaves. There is so space that is much family members favourites like label and hide and seek too.Whether it's on foot, bike or pushchair everyone will relish a walk in these woods. Bring along a picnic packed full of your favourite treats and sweets and immerse within the sunshine within the grassy picnic area, or have the cook for the household to exhibit their skills off in the park BBQ's.

Cannington Golf Centre is a nine gap, 18-tee greens plus undercover, fully automated floodlit driving range where young ones and non-members are welcome.Junior players are particularly welcome at Cannington Golf Centre, and they offer group and private lessons for children as early as 4 yrs . old. Junior non-members can use Saturday mornings just for £2.Situated alongside the opening that is 9th the undercover, completely automated floodlit driving range may be the ideal way to warm up before a game title, or to practise your skills. The product range is 300 yards very long allowing the utilization of a driver, so you can practise the game that is complete tee to green.
