Silver Belle is a Land Rover Defender 110 TD5. She's travelled extensively, including Sub Saharan Africa (twice), and loves a Road trip. Silver Belle sleeps 3 people (2 in the double bed in the pop-top roof and one in the back on the sofa) and seats 3 people and has the advantage of two awnings and plenty of storage space. She is at home wild camping with her own solar panel and leisure batteries or can be plugged in to an electric site hook-up if staying at campsites. All prices include insurance, mileage (100 miles a day) and full camping equipment.

She comes with everything you need to ensure you have a truly wild adventure.

Blue Belle is a rare Land Rover 110 TD5 Dormobile roofed Camper. She can seat 5 and sleep 4 in comfort. Her full length Dormobile roof ensures you have plenty of space for camping. Spacious grass pitch  for campervan or tent with car. One vehicle per pitch. Pitches are at least 12-14m diameter.Spacious pitch with plenty of room for large tents.  We do not charge extra for gazebos/pup tents etc. The camping field is car-free to make a peaceful and safe environment for everyone on site. The car park is next to the camping field. Wheelbarrows are available for bringing your belongings the very short distance to your pitch.

Premium Pitch

Buckland Farm Camping is situated in Somerset at the foot of the beautiful Blackdown Hills, on our working farm.

When you holiday with us, you will be in a great central location for exploring the local area whether by foot, bike or car.  There is something for everyone here, with lots to see and do within easy reach.

Or you can sit back and relax – toast marshmallows under the stars, or enjoy a glass of wine or cup of coffee while your children are making new friends at our central play and picnic area.

Our back-to-nature campsite is new this year, and we are looking forward to the arrival of our first guests.  We welcome everyone – individuals, families, couples and dogs, who have their own off lead activity/exercise area.

Your dogs deserve a holiday too and at Buckland Farm, we welcome your four legged friends.  

Being a farm, we do ask that you keep your dog on a lead at all times, unless in the fenced ‘activity area’. Thank you.

Buckland Farm Camping

Each pitch has its own fire pit and are well spaced around a vehicle-free field with the bell tent and hut having gas BBQ’s. A short walk through the new agro-forestry orchard, brings campers to loos and gas-powered shower. Ablutions here are eco-friendly.  There is also a washing up area, bins and recycling, logs and local charcoal for sale (all lit by fairy lights at night!).

Our bespoke shepherd hut named MooBell by our kids, comes with it's own private Hot Tub, set in an idyllic part of the farm with rolling paddocks and woodland, in an undiscovered corner of Devon. This is the perfect opportunity to get away from the crowds and enjoy, fresh air, picturesque countryside and stunning sunsets. Brookshill Farm is the ideal base for exploring all Devon has to offer. Staying here has everything you could need for your luxury glamping holiday.


We all know that the English weather is unpredictable but this location has a magic about it that will delight you whether the day is hot and sunny or wild and stormy. There is a wonderful sense of battening down the hatches and snuggling up in front of the wood burner and enjoy some quality time together.


The hut sleeps two adults and a well behaved dog is welcome at an additional charge of £10 per night. Please bring your own dog bed for them.

You’ll have a Real Glamping experience to remember, with sustainability and ecology at its heart. You and your family or friends, can stay in our luxurious Shepherds hut, Bell tent, wild camp or even hire the whole 9 acres of our little bit of the Devon countryside.

Brooks Hill Farm

Our Shepherd hut, Crivens, sleeping up to 4, is beautifully equipped to offer you a luxury glamping experience. In a sunny position with fantastic views, sited in its own corner of the field near our Safari lodges, has its own tucked away garden, with plenty of space to explore, play or just relax.

Crivens Shepherds hut 

Fox Safari tent is great for children. There is the cubby play area inside for those that enjoy a bit of a quiet space. Older children just love our cabin beds, a quirky king size bed in a cupboard, or they can explore the bunk beds. 

Fox has a commanding view of the field, ideal to keep an eye on more independent children while they explore while you relax. There is lots of open grass space to play in front of this tent. 

This tent is dog friendly, the deck is fenced and gated, with a fenced small off lead area beside the tent.

Fox Safari Lodge

If it’s camping under the stars that you’re after, then this is the pad for you. This is a great way to introduce young children to camping or just to enjoy a more relaxed holiday. 

Our cream canvas bell tents, with a fun colour full fly sheet, offer a close to camping experience without the stress and hassle of putting up a tent and packing all that equipment. 

Our bell tents are equipped with two single beds  and a king bed with mattresses. We provide cooking facilities including a hob, kettle, pot and pan plus utensils, cutlery and crockery for four, a mini electric fridge, and private toilet and wash facilities. 

You can also purchase a campfire pack to enjoy toasting marshmallows over an open fire. Bedding is not provided.     

Clover Bell Tent

Badger Safari tent is a great choice for families with young children and babies. It is tucked away in the top corner of the glamping field. 

Badger is particularly toddler friendly with large gated and fenced deck area, a ramp ideal for little wobbly legs and pushchairs, lots of space inside to crawl and toddle, plus a cute cubby play space under the cabin bed to explore. 

If you need a highchair, potty or baby bath? Just book the 'baby pack' as an extra and we'll take care of it (also available for fox). There is room in the safari lodges for a travel cot in the bunk bed room, next to the main king size bed.

We are the 1st glamping site to achieve the National Autistic Society s Autism Friendly Award . Near Ashill in Devon, next to a working dairy farm. Our gently sloping 2 acre field is located near the pretty village of Ashill, next to a working dairy farm, on the edge of the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. 

Our two enormous Safari Lodges and new large Shepheard hut are located at the top of our field looking out across the culm valley.

here is a dedicated childrens play area with climbing frames for younger children. 

Living on the site are three miniature horses and some young cats.

Leafy Fields Glamping

Our three lotus belle tents are positioned in a beautiful quiet paddock with stunning surrounding countryside views.

The large canvas tents are very sturdy and suitable for use in all weather conditions. Great for families or small groups, each tent sleeps up to four adults on comfortable single futons.

Designed for people looking to get away from it all, there is no electricity supply in the tents.

However, toilet and shower facilities are just a short walk away along with a communal kitchen/dining area.

Unfortunately dogs are not permitted in this accommodation.

LOTUS BELLE TENTS 

In a peaceful private spot on the edge of the vineyard, our two Shepherd’s Hut’s are ideal for couples looking for a romantic getaway.

Each beautiful hut has a Scandinavian Wood Fired Hot Tub to provide you both with the perfect environment to relax and unwind together in the most beautiful surroundings.

The huts on their original iron chassis, are made of wood with old fashioned wheels and steps leading up to a double stable door entrance. The doors and windows allow plenty of sunlight to stream in or allow you to watch the sun set over the vineyard from the comfort of your double bed if you wish! Inside there is also a kettle, toaster, fridge and a traditional wood burning stove in shepherds hut 


Shared toilet facilities, this accommodation is the ultimate luxurious glamping experience for couples. Each hut sleeps two adults. Both are only a short walk from kitchen and dining facilities.

Free Wi-Fi is available in the kitchen.

These are ideal for families or big groups. Paddocks are close together with nine Wigwams in Quantock and eight in Vineyard, both with stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

These beautiful structures are the very best glamping cabins you could possibly stay in!

We have 3 lodges that can sleep up to 4 adults with plenty of space inside for comfort and ease. This cabin is fitted with en-suite toilet, full size kitchen including oven, fridge, units and a spacious worktop. Accommodation comprises 2 pull out sofa beds, a double bed, under bed storage units and a radiator. Five windows and a large full screen glazed door panel ensure ample natural light to provide a beautiful living environment offering plenty of opportunity to enjoy the views.

**What do we need to bring?”**

Please bring sleeping bags, pillows, towels, torch, crockery, cutlery etc for use inside or outside your accommodation. There is a kitchen / dining room with everything you need for cooking and eating however we ask that all crockery etc is not taken out of the kitchen.

Upon arrival in the field, stay right and come up the track to the small red building (compost toilet). Keep going all the way to the bell tent, turn left and the general camping areas are on the left hand side.

OUR STORY
After many years in the rat race of London, we decided as a family to invest in a simpler and more sustainable life.

So, we decided to leave the hustle and bustle of London chaos and enjoy life in the countryside in the quiet of the Somerset hills. We are also delighted to announce the arrival of new baby Bodhi to have joined the family in March 2021.

Our vision is as simple as the life we are aspiring towards: to create a happy and sustainable planet and our method is to create a microcosm of this utopia in the small way that we can using the space and resources we have available to us.

By 2025, we aim for a holistic wellbeing and happiness centre, with camping, glamping, meditation retreats, tours of the project and a sustainable agriculture education centre - enjoy it with us as we continue on our journey to grow and develop into something beautiful...


CAMPSITE RULES
Here at Splatt Farm, we don't want to create unnecessary and restrictive rules. However, in order to ensure the happiness of all of our guests and neighbours, we ask that all guests follow the following:

1. Once unpacked and set up, please park your cars at the top end of the field near the entrance. No cars may be parked on or near camping pitches.


2. All fires, BBQs and stoves must be within the fire pit area on your pitch.


3. No amplified music is allowed on site after 9pm and no noise at all that disturbs others is allowed after 11pm.


4. This is an eco-friendly site. All recyclable rubbish must be separated and placed in the appropriate bin and all non-recyclable waste must be taken off-site with you.


5. Check-in is from 2pm and check-out is by 10am.


6. If your group is under 21, a behaviour deposit of £20 per person is required and if your group is under 18, no alcohol is allowed.


7. Your camping pitch must be left as you found it.

Sheppys Cider Farm and Museum offers the possiblity to find out about the mixture that is ancient of with cider making, from the Sheppy family members, who've been craftsmen cider makers for over 200 years! 370 acre farm to explore, with farm pets to  generally meet, and museum that is interesting of fascinating facts about agriculture and cider making, plus Farm Shop and Tearooms selling neighborhood produce!The Museum contains many exceptional agriculture and cider making displays, plus tools from related crafts, such as thatching, blacksmithing, and coopering. You will start by viewing a DVD detailing the cider process that is making Sheppy's, then start to see the Autumn Season exhibit, with seed drills, harrows, ploughs and much more, followed closely by summer time display, where you will see equipment along with other implements for grass mowing, plus corn cutting and binding.There normally many different barn equipment and equipment to see, followed closely by a section about a Dairy and Farm Kitchen. Finally the cider section that is making! Aj'z Play and Party Centre is a lovely bright and colourful play centre with a huge play framework for young ones aged 4 years and older, a passionate area for kids more youthful than 4 years, plus a cafi, free WIFI, and a sizable car park that is free. Fantastic!Adventurous little monkeys aged 4 years and older will cherish the play that is multilevel, with spiral, astra, and rate slides, atmosphere cannons, plus a great amount of other entertaining features to crawl under, climb over, and slide along. The region for younger young ones offers a lot of possibilities for squishy play that is soft plus there is certainly a play frame with a slide for babies!
