The campsite has many varied pitches. We have a number of small enclosed family meadows that have far reaching views across the dales to the distance. We are first and foremost a quiet country campsite. ​ We are not in any way commercial, and look to serve ordinary down to earth customers, looking for a friendly peaceful escape. You may hear tractors in the lanes & fields, cows and sheep are also in the fields near the site as this is a farming community. ​ Hopefully you will be able to recharge with lovely fresh air, long country walks and great Derbyshire hospitality. ​ Loud music is not allowed, no noise after 10pm and before 8am.

Ideally located 4 mins walk from a great village pub and a wonderful cafe, both on the Village Green, just handy for the campsite.

Dozens of fantastic walks lead directly from the campsite. You can choose to walk through the droving lanes of the village, up onto the moors, the Tissington Trail to the cycle hire or venture down the breathtaking Lathkill Dale, a national nature reserve that follows the Limestone Gorge to the east of the village.

A family farm ice cream parlour is on the edge of the village along with other eateries and a local fuel station. Close by we have other small village shops and many wonderful farm shops.

Safe for toddlers and pets, the outside decking is enclosed and has a table and chairs with footstools, so you can put your feet up and enjoy a BBQ and eating alfresco.

With two generous sized bedrooms the cabin is perfect for couples or smaller families. If you are a group of friends the beds in the master bedroom are zip and link and can be made up as singles.

There’s no queuing for the facilities as there are two bathrooms in Hipley cabin. Relax in the luxurious whirlpool bath or enjoy a refreshing shower in the accessible wet room.

The log cabins are family friendly and wheelchair accessible with wet room showers and there is a wide range of extra equipment for hire free of charge. We welcome dogs and guests can also bring their own horse on holiday to explore the off-road riding trails. Or you can hire the two electric bikes to whizz up the hills with ease.

Greystones Nawab Camping and Touring is a small basic and friendly campsite in the middle of the beautiful Peak District countryside; completely rural, but only 15 minutes from the famous spa town of Buxton in Derbyshire. Relatively new on the campsite scene - Greystones nawab offers grassy pitches for 5 caravans /3 motorhomes and 10 tent pitches on well-tended land, surrounded by dry stone walls and mature trees and shrubs.

It is a pretty place, and the views from the campsite take some beating. Everyone is welcome here; it is family-friendly, motorcycle friendly and dog friendly and facilities include electric hooks-ups should you want it, outside a washing up area side of portacabin, showers and toilets are in purpose-built portacabin Right next door to the campsite there is a wonderful donkey sanctuary, so it is just a stroll away to go and say hello to these gentle animals.

This is a small basic site in the centre of peak park very scenic site is in a prime position for exploring all that the Peak District has to offer. For walkers and outdoor enthusiasts, Greystones nawab is very close to several excellent walks Monsal trail Tissington trail, many pretty little villages and cycling routes, and there are also opportunities for pony trekking, climbing and paragliding if you feel like experiencing something a bit different! The Peak District is a National Park, so if you want to plan your trip well, visit one of the excellent visitor centres that are set up to help you navigate around the many hills and trails in the area.

Aside from exploring the surrounding Peak District, Greystone is also close to several excellent family attractions. Take a magical journey underground at Poole’s Cavern - just a ten-minute drive away - and explore the huge limestone caverns which date back 2 million years. They also have a large park and picnic area with some lovely woodland trails to follow, and for those who like the high ropes - one of Go Apes highest adventure courses is here, with zip wires, aerial walkways and perilous bridges. And talking of perilous, Alton Towers is about 40 minutes away by car if you wanted a full day out of rollercoasters and excitement. Peak Wildlife Park is also nearby, allowing you to come face to face with several exotic and endangered animals. 

The thermal spa town of Buxton, with its Georgian and Victorian architecture, is a very popular destination in the area, as well as idyllic Bakewell, on the banks of the River Wye and close to Chatsworth House - one of Derbyshire’s most popular stately homes with its magnificent gardens.

You will certainly not be short of things to do here! Greystones nawab is a welcome retreat at the end of a busy day exploring the Peak District; it is quiet, tranquil and relaxing; ideal to kick back in a chair and watch the sun go down. If you fancy a night off the cooking there are several good pubs within walking distance offering excellent home-cooked food. 

As locations go, Greystone is a lovely spot, so make sure you leave enough time to explore all that the stunning Peak District has to offer. we also have a cafe next door please note toilets and showers are in a purpose-built portacabin and washing facilities are on outside of side portacabin.

Cliffe Park is a park that is popular a big play area offering swings, slides, climbing frame, table tennis table, crazy greens, large grass area for winning contests and tennis courts.There is a sand pit area which can be fenced off and safe for young children to try out in.The park hosts regular events and festivals too.

The Jungle welcomes all young ones under a decade old in the future and play in their adventure play land!Climb and scramble through several well-padded floors of bright and crazy play that is physical with features like the big racing slide, crawl tunnels and talky pipes, with lots of squashy obstacles and soft attack course design features. It's a environment that is fantastic young ones to get some social and cardiovascular exercise!there are many links available between your floors therefore the kids do not bottleneck. The play framework is roomy and simply observable through the seating area many thanks to light netting that is coloured the perimeters.They offer a separate area for young children and children with similar sort of part of but much smaller and even softer! There is area to crawl and squashy things to move, pile or gather, plus space for mum or dad to play alongside during most sessions.There are dedicated Toddler sessions to attend held during term time on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 09:30 to 12:30 plus they consist of some additional led tasks and a juice that is free. These sessions are for under 5s only.There may also be youngsters' birthday party packages available Jungle that has arrived including, and Disco varieties!

The Jungle Chesterfield

The air conditioned Wacky Warehouse at the Chequers offers a bright and roomy indoor play ground for kids to have some exercise on and work out some brand new friends, with lots of features from tunnels and slides to bridges and ball pits, surrounded on all sides by high-end cushioning about with abandon so they can toss on their own. The folk that is tiny isn't any less impressive with soft colourful options into the enclosed zone including soft construction materials, pleasing characters and sensory stimulation toys to facilitate all facets of child development. You can find art sessions regularly available right here as always but there is however no area that is outdoor.
