Haddy’s Hut is a spacious, airy and bright bespoke handcrafted shepherd’s hut designed and built to a high standard benefitting from modern day comforts including a warming wood burning stove, en-suite bathroom with fluffy towels, handmade fully equipped kitchen with full size hob and a single oven with grill, comfy patio furniture where you can read the paper or your favourite book and if it becomes chilly light the fire pit.

The campsite has many varied pitches. We have a number of small enclosed family meadows that have far reaching views across the dales to the distance. We are first and foremost a quiet country campsite. ​ We are not in any way commercial, and look to serve ordinary down to earth customers, looking for a friendly peaceful escape. You may hear tractors in the lanes & fields, cows and sheep are also in the fields near the site as this is a farming community. ​ Hopefully you will be able to recharge with lovely fresh air, long country walks and great Derbyshire hospitality. ​ Loud music is not allowed, no noise after 10pm and before 8am.

Accessed via a gravelled farm track, unseen from the road, Burrs Farm stands independently and is surrounded by 20 acres of delightful farmland. Originally the Country Manor House of Chelmorton, it beams with endless character and sits in a rural, elevated position on the outskirts of Chelmorton, the highest village in Derbyshire. 

​Whilst Burrs Farm offers privacy and seclusion, it is only a short walk to the village and a short drive to the market towns of Buxton and Bakewell. It is a grand and traditional property full of warmth and character. A perfect place from which to explore the Peak District National Park.

Country Manor House

Dogs must be well behaved and house trained.
Dogs must be strictly kept downstairs and off of soft furnishings and beds.
​​Any fouling on lawns or gardens must be promptly cleared up.
​​The dog owner must bring the dog's bed or basket for sleeping in.
​​Dogs must not be left alone in the property or elsewhere at any time.
Dogs must not lie on beds and hair must be well cleared up before departing.
​​Dog owners must ensure that their pets are free from parasites and fleas before they occupy the property. Failure to do so will incur subsequent charges.

One Touring caravan Motorhome or Campervan allowed per pitch: Chemical Waste, fresh water, and grey disposal are available on site but not on the pitch.

£1 coin needed to use the shower. Portacabin is purpose-built with a shower and toilet. Temporary washing up facilities outside next to portacabin. No open fires. BBQ and firepits are allowed but they must be off the ground. Children must be supervised at all times. We ask that you please take your rubbish home with you as there are no recycling points on site.

Bank holidays are 3 days minimum night stay.

Management will not accept responsibility for the loss or damage to any personal belongings left unattended on these premises.

STRICTLY no noise after 10 pm.

The air conditioned Wacky Warehouse at the Chequers offers a bright and roomy indoor play ground for kids to have some exercise on and work out some brand new friends, with lots of features from tunnels and slides to bridges and ball pits, surrounded on all sides by high-end cushioning about with abandon so they can toss on their own. The folk that is tiny isn't any less impressive with soft colourful options into the enclosed zone including soft construction materials, pleasing characters and sensory stimulation toys to facilitate all facets of child development. You can find art sessions regularly available right here as always but there is however no area that is outdoor.
