Carsington Fields Caravan Park

Carsington Water is a beautiful man-made reservoir built for both water storage and recreational use. There is a well maintained path all the way around the reservoir designed for walking and cycling which is approximately 8.5 miles long and offers views of the reservoir as well as bird hides to watch the many bird species that visit.

The Visitor Centre provides an interesting insight into the use of water and the history of the reservoir, there are also a collection of shops and a cafe over-looking the reservoir. There is also an excellent childrens’ play area.

You can Trout fish on the reservoir, which is regarded as the Midlands’ Premier Brown Trout Fishing Lake, fishing boats can be hired at the centre.
