Ford Park has nine acres of open area and it is loaded with activities for children of all of the ages. The playground that is natural surround by grassy mounds, has an exciting 30m Zip Wire, climbing stilts, swings plus much more.Free guides to your Nature path, Tree Trail and entry-level Orienteering Route are available through the Coach House Cafe. They are going to guide you through the woodland and wilder elements of the park and onto the mature that is wonderful with wildlife pond. The tracks end up in the orchard, near to the Kitchen Garden and Cafe.There is lots to see and learn in this inspirational park that is community-owned. Located in the shadow of Hoad Hill, Ford Park makes a great point that is beginning a climb up the hill to start to see the Sir John Barrow Monument, a 100ft high lighthouse built to honour a famous son of Ulverston. The views alone can be worth the 20 moment climb to your the surface of the hill.If you cannot make the climb that is steep just relax on the top terrace of our Cafe where you will find splendid views regarding the Monument and across Morecambe Bay towards the Pennines. The Coach House Cafe has an children that are exceptional menu and all sorts of dishes are freshly cooked regarding the premises with neighborhood and home-grown ingredients.During school holidays there are a selection Family Activities every Wednesday afternoon from 2pm. Tasks vary from art and crafts to food gardening and growing.
