Oakham Treasures is one of the largest privately owned museums that is specialized in retail and history that is farming the UK! This vast unique attraction of memorabilia from the last century will fascinate everyone else, it quickly became a calling, in which he now operates the museum together with spouse and 2 daughters whether you might be 8 or 80!The owner, Keith Sherrell, a 5th generation West Country farmer, began collecting farm equipment in the 60s as a sideline to their business, but! He's got spent years travelling the country and surfing on ebay to obtain the things that are numerous you will notice in your see. The agricultural collection are available in the Tractor and Farm Museum, as the retail collection was divided into 'shops' such as the supermarket, Haberdashery, Chemist, and Sweet Shop!The Grocery Store is the largest associated with the stores on display, and stocked from flooring to ceiling behind original store counters, providing a remarkable view for the large numbers of grocery brands from the century that is 20th. All of the shops are packed with so many different items and brands, a few of that may only be remembered by older visitors, giving a trip that is nostalgic memory lane.The Tractor museum houses around 150 old and vintage tractors, with examples from all around the world! There's also an display that is impressive of farm machines, with many fine examples dating back to 1910. Additionally there is an array of other farm equipment to identify, from a cider press to sheep shearers, a potato harvester to a straw and hay elevator, and far, a great deal more!
