Visit Devon and enjoy staying at Dartmoor Country Holidays, a family run park that is fortunate enough to sit within the strikingly beautiful Dartmoor National Park.

Also known as Magpie Leisure Park, Dartmoor Country Holidays can accommodate guests in tents and touring caravans, plus there are some holiday homes for hire. There are also privately owned holiday static caravans and long term touring pitches available.

Caravans and tents can pitch around the perimeter of the site's 'Camping in the Meadow' area, meaning the centre is left free for, for example, ball games. In addition, there is the 'Beautiful Caravan Park', which has 30 pitches. Grassy, flat and level, this area borders the River Walkam. Hardstanding touring pitches with electric hook-ups are available, too. Facilities for those staying in their tent or caravan include a shower and toilet block, a laundry with a washer and a dryer, a dishwashing area with hot water and Calor Gas exchange. If you need anything, head to the site's reception which is manned most of the time.

You could also book time in one of the four purpose built, Scandinavian wooden lodges at Dartmoor Country Holidays, which can sleep between two and seven people. These lodges are comprehensively equipped with fully fitted kitchens and bathrooms, with all cookery utensils and crockery plus a toaster, a kettle, tea towels, towels, duvets and bed linen provided.

This is a dog friendly campsite, but owners must always keep their dogs on a lead and clean up after them.

Located just off the A386, Dartmoor Country Holidays is an easy park to get from and to, so it's a great base for exploring the area.

This campsite sits a short distance north west of the village of Horrabridge. With a post office, a chip shop, pubs and a collection of shops, it's a useful place to have close by. For somewhere a little more substantial, there's the ancient market town of Tavistock that's about a 15-minute drive from Dartmoor Country Holidays.
