Beautiful shepherds huts ready for your glamping experience. They are equipped to make your stay as relaxing as possible. Each Hut has a double bed, bed side storage tables. 

Each of the Huts has a small kitchen unit, all with cutlery, crockery, mugs and glasses. There is a kettle and some coffee, tea & hot chocolate, to help make your stay enjoyable. Also in each hut there is a 2-ring camping gas cooker , along with pots and pans.

Outside in the Glamping meadow, there are BBQ's available for use by our glampers.We provide all the bedding and towels, along with some warm extras, lovely snuggly blankets and hot water bottles.

Acorn Lodge is a beautiful bespoke self catering lodge that is availabe to hire for the weekend or longer.

It can accomodate up to 4 people.

The lodge has 2 bedrooms, one double bedroom and bedroom with bunk beds.  

The open plan living kitchen area has everything you need with a built in cooker and fridge.

Or relax in the living area on a comfy sofa seating area

It’s all about simple seaside stays at Pool Farm, a friendly, quiet rural site in the village of St Brides Major and a half-hour stroll from Southerndown beach.

This is a splendid spot for a laidback break, with plenty of fresh-air antics available along this stunning stretch of the south Wales coast. A riding centre is in the village, there’s a golf course a few minute's drive away (beware of sea views distracting you from your swing), and the Wales Coast Path is half an hour's walk away for a bit of leg stretching.

Plus, of course, those beaches – bask on the sands at Southerndown or take the 15-minute drive to Porthcawl for surf lessons, kiteboarding and other coastal adventures.

The site itself has been left blissfully straightforward, the peaceful pitches served by just the basics (showers, toilets and a washing-up area). A fab little farm shop is a few minutes' walk away for organic meat supplies and there are a couple of pubs within walking distance for pints and food.

With spectacular views and close to the beach at Southerndown, on the Vale of Glamorgan Heritage Coast our large dog-friendly campsite that caters for all types of tents as well as camper vans. If you are looking for a cheap getaway with the family for whatever occasion, look no further!

The campsite boasts separate male/female toilets and washing facilities, several new showers for 2018, water points within the field and the convenience of pub for lunch and evening meals.

There's plenty to do including an on site surf school allowing beginners and intermediate surfers to enjoy the sea. The local farmer runs family trips around the farm allowing you to observe a working farm. Pony trekking trips are run from the next village where you can gallop over the dunes or just trot along the beach.

The pub/restaurant is there on site where you can enjoy a snack or a full restaurant meal (booking advisable), all the food is locally sourced and includes our famous 'Proper Pies'. Please ask for food times. Take away food available. During the main summer holidays the pub opens for breakfast which you can enjoy in the beer garden overlooking Southerndown bay.

Three Golden Cups Pub and Campsite

A warm welcome awaits you at Acorn Camping & Caravan Site.
We are a small peaceful family owned rural site, situated on the Heritage Coast, 1 mile from Llantwit Major and the beach. There is a small shop onsite, stocking all the essentials, along with snacks, drinks & ice creams.  There is also a childrens play park and the Cwtch cafe here at Acorn.

Southern Wales Karting Centre have a range of karts to suit both the novice motorist or to test the more knowledgeable, so it's guaranteed in full that there surely is something for all. Minimum drive age 8 years but a Twin is had by them Seater Kart for young ones beneath the chronilogical age of 8 or those beneath the height limit.The awesome tarmac track is an impressive 1050 meters in length with 9 corners to negotiate. The track is floodlit and there is real time commentary on competition days!The Race Academy teaches beginners who are using it seriously (it is enjoyable, but it is serious enjoyable) all the fundamentals right through to higher level driving techniques with it long sufficient in the event that you stick. The Race Academy times are widely spread but, so then stick to the come and Drive.If you're travelling far then it ought to be noted these friendly people will let you camp too, if you obtain authorization first if you're providing to a bright but likely temporary enthusiasm. Ask nicely!

Welcome To Nash Point Lighthouse Visitor Centre

For 175 years Nash Point Lighthouse, designed by James Walker, the Engineer-in-Chief to Trinity House, has been keeping the mariner safe of Nash Sands, the sandbanks off the point at the entrance to the Bristol Channel.

In 1977 a rare plant, the tuberous thistle (Cirsium Tuberosum), was found growing around the lighthouse.

Nash Point was the last manned lighthouse in Wales. The lighthouse keepers left on 5 August 1998.

Nash Point formally opened its doors to the public in 2007 so why not come along and see this wonderful lighthouse and the stunning scenery around about it from a new perspective?
