About This Activity

The Lodge nature reserve's woodland, heath and acid grassland here cover 180 hectares, and they are being restored to make the stretch that is largest of heathland in Bedfordshire.Explore this attractive nature reserve along 8 kilometer of trails, find the Iron Age banking institutions and ditches on Galley Hill, go to the beautifully managed gardens, or view woodland wild birds from the hide. You can see a variety that is wide of species over summer and winter, including spotted flycatchers and hobbies throughout the summer time!There are lots of activities in the activities programme that are created simply for families, such as mini-beast safaris, plus RSPB Explorer Backpacks are available for children to utilize on the reserve. These contain binoculars, task booklets, bug watchers, and wildlife guides, and they are built to assist children discover, whilst having loads of fun!Dog owners please be aware that as a result of the nature that is painful and sensitive of, dogs are only permitted on the bridleway, maybe not one other paths.
