Dogs are also welcome on-site in your caravans and tents but we do ask for them to be kept on a lead at all times when not in your accommodation, and all mess be cleaned up, dogs are also not allowed in the shower blocks.

Caravan / Tent Non-Electric Pitch

Hidden Hideaway is a Glamping, Camping and Caravanning site set on a family-run farm in the heart of the stunning Leicestershire countryside. It is surrounded by ample footpaths and bridleways with several country pubs on the doorstep. With only a short drive to nearby Market Harborough and Uppingham, and a little further to visit Rutland water and its aqua park or Leicester for the National Space Centre its in a perfect location for you to unwind and relax or discover something new.

Hidden Hideaway has 2 safari style tents that sleep up to 5 people plus room for a cot, proper beds, private shower rooms, lounges with wood burning stoves and a fully furnished decking area with gas bbq and wood fired hot tubs. The campsite has 10 pitches and can cater for tents, caravans and motor homes. There are 10 pitches altogether, 5 with electric hook up and 5 without. The pitches are a minimum of 9m x 11m with a 6m gap in between each pitch to give you the space and area to relax in. The site has family shower/toilet rooms and an undercover washing up area. There is also chemical and gray waste disposal points.

 A large grassed area at the far end of the site gives the children space to run and play. Fire pits and bbqs are allowed if they are off the ground (subject to weather and risk of fire in the summer months) and fire pits can be hired for £5 for the duration of your stay, wood can also be purchased on site for £6 a bag including firelighters and kindling. The site is dog friendly and there is a designated dog walk along side all of the footpaths available. 

Hidden Hideaway Glamping

Our Two luxury 5m Canvas Bell tents provide the perfect accommodation nestled at either end of the spacious Glamping area allowing plenty of room for that secluded feel. Each tent is uniquely decorated and furnished with a super king sized bed plus 2 floor mattresses. Outside the tent is its very own tarpaulin covered camp kitchen fully equipped everything you'll need.

This 4th generation farm has been in the Gould family for nearly a century growing combinable crops & sugar beet, as well as being the home for some sheep & cattle. We love to see visitors enjoying all that our beautiful farm has to offer. We began welcoming caravan club members in 1990, and throughout the year boats use our beautifully maintained facilities for moorings.

In recent years we have seen an increasing number of swimmers, canoeists and campers making use of our various entry points into the River Nene. We have also begun to host wedding receptions in our field which backs onto the historic Fotheringhay Church, with many of the guests making use of our camping facilities.

In recent years we have hosted Scout & Duke of Edinburgh groups, childrens and adult birthday weekends, caravan rallies, Richard III enthusiasts & many more.

We are always looking for new ways to utilise our facilities so please get in touch with your ideas. We are happy to provide you simply with a field, or to help organise your event.

The Logan Shepherd's Hut is one of two delightful shepherds huts nestled amongst the trees by the edge of our top lake. The Logan is a perfectly put together cabin of luxury, wonderful for relaxing with a glass of wine by the lake edge or cosied up by the wood burner in the Autumn and Winter months.

Nestling on the borders of Rutland & Leicestershire, our two fishing lakes sit amongst woodland and wildlife. Two shepherds huts rest on the edge of the top lake ready for relaxation, fishing and star-gazing .

Enjoy camping in our bottom field  where you can cook on open fires next to your own tent or sleep in one of our resident bell tents which are available for you to hire either furnished or unfurnished if you fancy bringing some of your home comforts with you. 

Rutland is  full of things to see and do from water sports, walking trails, cycling and of course fishing ! We also have bustling market towns, country houses and castles for you to visit, pretty impressive for the UK's smallest county .

Leicester city is on our doorstep, home to the National Space centre and also the impressive Richard III visitor centre.

Our VW Caddy Campervans are awesome. They are small & stand out in the crowd plus have all the equipment that the bigger VW models have. Easy to drive, good MPG, unlimited mileage with insurance & breakdown included, gives a worry-free journey. The van has diesel heating for the colder times, a kitchenette with a stove, sink & fridge, with a table & chairs for alfresco dining. The campervan can sleep up to 4, with 2 in the van & 2 in the Roof Top Tent.

For 2022, we now have 3 VW campervans for hire. DK1, DK2 & yes you guessed it DK3. The last 2 have a brand new design inside. With plywood furniture, tan & tweed seats, we have really embraced the scandi/vanlife vibe. Unfortunately, you wont be able to choose which model you get, however, rest assured, all vans are as awesome as each other.

All our VW Caddy campervans can sleep and drive up to 4, with 2 in the van and 2 in the Roof Top Tent. We are conveniently located just outside Peterborough UK, 1.5 miles (3mins) from the A47 and 3 miles (5 mins) from the A1, giving easy access to start your DubKation.

Our campervans are based on the vibrant VW Caddy. They can transport 4 and sleep up to 4, with 2 sleeping inside and 2 in the awesome Roof Top Tent.

Each tent is beautifully decorated. You have your own table and benches, ideal for alfresco meals, and camping chairs set around a BBQ fire bowl. Inside you’ll find a snug space with rugs, lamps, a double bed with mattress and bedding, shower towel and hand towel per person as well as a luxury hamper. We can set up your tent to accommodate up to four people using additional camping mattresses – ideal for families or groups.

Bell Tent

The perfect ‘back to nature’ get away with all the luxuries of the Engine Yard facilities on the doorstep. You will wake up to private views of the beautiful Belvoir Vale whilst enjoying your morning coffee. The Shepherd’s Hut is lockable, has storage space under the bed and electricity.

Our new glamping site at Belvoir Estate is rather unique. After all, it’s not every day you glamp next to a castle. Belvoir Castle has many similarities in design to Windsor Castle, a fact not lost on the producers of Netflix drama The Crown, who used Belvoir as a stand-in for the Queen’s home. It’s all a perfect, dramatic backdrop to our new glamping venture, a collection of fully-furnished bell tents, a quirky Gypsy Wagon and a homely Shepherds Hut, offering high-quality glamping accommodation fit for any King or Queen.

Our 5m bell tents, Shepherd’s Hut and Gypsy Wagon overlook the Vale of Belvoir (with stunning views and sunsets) and are located at The Engine Yard; a boutique retail site, which celebrates local food, drink and artisan shopping. At our new glamp site you can sip cocktails at The Balloon Bar, enjoy tasty woodfired pizzas at The Fuel Tank or a slap up meal at The Brasserie.  However you choose to spend your stay here, you’re sure to have a royal time of it.

We can provide bed and breakfast packages which are continental boxes delivered to your tent or a table for breakfast at The Brasserie. The Fuel Tank can also offer a number of other catering extras.
