Lochshiel Campsite

Lochshiel campsite is situated near Acharacle. Acharacle is well known for its natural beauty and tranquil setting. The campsite is situated on the edge of Loch Shiel where you can enjoy easy access for kayaking, also plenty of areas to walk and cycle to. The campsite is within 20mins walk to shops, hotels/restaurant post office, cafe and play park. The Ardnamurchan Peninsula is popular for Boat hire and cruises; they operate on Loch Shiel and Loch Sunart, giving an ideal opportunity to see our wildlife. There are beautiful beaches within a 10-minute drive or visit Castle Tioram,or take a walk to the more remote Singing Sands. Visit Ardnamurchan Lighthouse, the most westerly point on the British mainland and on the way you can stop at the Ardnamurchani Distillery and the Natural History Centre. Arisaig is a 40-minute drive where you can book a ferry trip to the small isles of Rhum, Eigg ,Canna, or Skye. Also a trip to Mull taking the ferry from Kilhoan which is an hour drive away. Glenfinnan is 45 mins drive, where you can see the steam train, which was made famous by the ‘Harry Potter” movies
