Monkton Nature Reserve This East Kent reserve is placed in 16 gorgeous acres of reclaimed chalk quarry, an example that is wonderful of's recovery in industrious guy's lack. In addition they boast the Thanet Observatory and the first synthetic bat cave built in the UK! Welcoming facilities include a well equipped field centre with a large reference collection, bookshop and website that is picnic. Entry towards the Field learn Centre is free, where site visitors is able to see the geological specimens, archaeological artefacts and natural history display, and see the bookshop that is second-hand.
