The slender towers of the church of St Michael the Archangel dominate the wide East Anglian landscape for miles around. This amazingly decorative and extraordinary building was the creation of one man – eccentric clergyman Reverend Whitwell Elwin – a descendant of Pocahontas. Elwin not only raised the funds for the building, he also designed it – without the help of an architect – borrowing details from other churches throughout the country.

I believe in offering spacious 'pick your own' pitches with not a tape measure in sight! You will be immersed in nature and will see brown hares, barn owls, marsh harriers, and wildflowers to name but a few. Many visitors also comment on the magic of the 'dark sky' ideal for star gazing.

​Please note we are a 'quiet site' and do not allow music on-site or noise after 9.30 p.m.

​In keeping with the surroundings, the wooden facilities shed offers 2 unisex flushing loos & sinks, 4 hot water showers, a private loo with sink, gents urinals & extra portable loos during peak times. Hot water washing-up area and local information board.

​It is possible to get WiFi/ 4G on site depending on your network. Because of the 'off-grid' location, we are unable to offer any electric hook but we do supply phone/tablet charging facilities provided by the silent generator which runs twice daily 7-10 am & 5.30-9 pm. We are currently working on replacing this with solar panels.....watch this space!

We have firepits available on-site for your own private use at no extra charge and kiln-dried log nets for sale at £5/bag. Please remember to bring cash as we do not have card payment facilities...also put aside a few spare pennies for a bag of toasting marshmallows!

Can’t decide between a bit of farm life, bright city lights and refreshing coastal explores? Ditch the dithering and pack the whole lot into one stay at Two Jays Farm: our small, family-friendly farm is in Horstead, a 20-minute drive from Norwich and half an hour from Norfolk’s beaches. You’ll be in good company here – in the adjacent fields your neighbours will be the farm's resident horses, goats and chickens, and you're welcome to bring along a four-legged pal of your own if you've got a dog that fancies the trip. Canine companion or no, this is a fine spot for getting out for a walk. Set off on foot or cycle along woodland paths and riverbanks to take in sights like the Bure Valley Railway, Horstead Mill on the River Bure (where you can jump into the water for a wild swim if it's getting a tad warm) and pretty market towns along the way. Your reward at the end of a lengthy walk – perhaps a good feed at one of the nearby foodie pubs? The nearest is less than 10 minutes walk from the site, and there are a few more to choose from – along with some takeaways and a supermarket – in nearby Coltishall village, which is a 20-minute walk away (or a few minutes drive).

Eves Hill Farm’s camping site is the perfect base from which to explore Norfolk and an ideal place to spend some time if you enjoy walking, birdwatching, cycling, painting or simply the unspoilt countryside. We are also within walking distance of the picturesque market town of Reepham, with its superb selection of shops and places to eat and drink.

Eves Hill Farm is a family run mixed arable and grassland farm of nearly 400 acres.
We, the Buxton family, have been farming at Eves Hill since 1960 with Jeremy Buxton the third generation to be running the farm, in partnership with parents, Robert and Rita.
Eves Hill Farm has a long history of cattle farming. Today, we are breeders of fine native pedigree poll Hereford cattle, complemented by a commercial suckler herd. We also grow spring barley, winter wheat and oil seed rape.
Eves Hill is managed under the High Level Stewardship (HLS) scheme. Over the past few years, we have planted miles of hedgerows, new woodlands and hundreds of native trees. Field margins have been established with wild flowers to attract insects, especially pollinators like bees and butterflies. This has created new and diverse habitats, preserved the local landscape and made a wonderful environment to farm and for our Hereford herd to live in.
The farm is host to a huge array of different birds and animals. Birdlife includes buzzards, skylarks, game birds (including grey partridge), song birds and owls to name but a few. We have successfully introduced English partridges, who are now nesting on the farm, and our population of lapwings is growing.
We plant areas of bird feed to help the bird population on the farm through the winter and owl boxes have been erected around the farm in conjunction with the Hawk & Owl Trust.
It is also very common to see hares on our fields, and many deer roaming around the farm.
Visitors are welcome: just let us know when you’d like to come and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Hengrave Meadow is a quiet, adult-only retreat. However when a group books all three tents, giving exclusive use of the meadow, children* are welcome and can be added as an extra at the booking stage. Up to 2 well behaved dogs are welcome per tent. Please let us know if you are bringing your dog with you.

You will have exclusive hire of our site with three luxury 5-meter Bell Tents. Each tent boasts coir matting, rugs ,wooden double bed and bedding, tables, chairs, battery lanterns.

Single airbeds and bedding for two children if required.

Hengrave Meadow is a quiet adult only retreat with just three luxury bell tents each with their own bathroom on a two acre meadow, giving our guests private space to breathe and relax. The perfect Norfolk getaway.

Children are welcome when booking all three tents with family or friends giving you exclusive use of the meadow.

We have been lifelong campers and have passed the love of outdoor life to our two (grown up) children.   In fact, it started with Duncan’s parents.  Dad Brian said “It doesn’t matter if you come out of a five star hotel or a tent, so long as you have slept warm, dry and comfortable”. We understand what makes a great camping experience and have taken this to the next level with Hengrave Glamping!

Our new Cromer Camping site is the only campsite situated in the vibrant seaside town of Cromer, North Norfolk. Opening for one month only from the last week of July 2017, our exclusive back to basic campsite offers 270 pitches in a picturesque setting within Cromer estate located just ten minutes walk from the town centre. It is fully accessible by public transport and is walking distance from Cromer train station and bus stops.

Each time you solve a clue, you will be able to eliminated a location in the treasure that is fictional to reveal in which the most loved treasure is hidden! Great for everyone, young ones aged 6 or over will love hunting for the answers to your clues, which were set on structures, indications, plaques and monuments, forcing you to look high and low and take in Cromer from a perspective that is different. This path shall take around 2 hours to perform, and involves 1.75 miles of easy hiking. Once you have solved this mystery, then try a Spy Mission or movement that is detective Treasure Trail!

The noise of the ocean, sand betwixt your toes and a lot of importantly, an ice cream at hand. It's great household fun and a cheap and method that is not hard get away from home. Just be sure to prepare for all eventualities - that features swimming cossies AND raincoats!There are also lifeguards on duty that is news that is definitely welcome a parent.
