Everyone is welcome at Sunnymead Farm, a small friendly, family-run camp site with 4 AA pennants set in four acres of glorious North Devon countryside only a few minutes drive from Woolacombe and Ilfracombe. We invite you to come and relax whilst enjoying outstanding views and fabulous sunsets over the fields towards the sea. If it s a holiday without the hustle and bustle of oversized camp sites you want, then look no further, plus we welcome dogs free of charge.

The pitches are level and from many pitches you can see over the fields towards Lee Bay and the Welsh coast beyond.

The centre of the 3 camping areas is left open for children to play and the rally area is open for all to use for ball games in the summer.

Hidden away in the North Devon countryside, a treat awaits.  Only a short drive away from some of Devon’s most gorgeous sandy beaches is a family run dairy farm with some rather beautiful glamping accommodation.  The owners have created an absolute oasis here; a small and secluded glamping site, set in a sheltered field with a small, seasonal stream meandering through. There are only three boutique Lotus belle tents - each which sleep four people very comfortably indeed - so you can be sure of a quiet and relaxing stay. (A small single mattress or travel cot can be provided for a 5th little person).  Each tent is positioned in its own area of the field with a good sized outdoor seating area, a wood burning stove and a firepit - perfect for sitting around and keeping cosy in the evenings.  There is a private outdoor kitchen area with a gas barbeque, cooking equipment and crockery, and each tent also has its own shower and toilet.  Inside the belle tent, everything is made up and ready, with beautiful bedding, fairy lights and pretty furnishings…so you can just arrive, unpack and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.  The site is car-free (wheelbarrow your things in!) and off-grid, so kids can roam happily….and in the evenings, a lack of light pollution means beautifully starry skies.  There is also a play barn, packed with activities and games to play, as well as dining tables and chairs, a fridge and other things to make your stay stress free.  It is a wonderful place, a place to get away from it all, relax, unwind and appreciate all that is lovely about the outdoors.  Cheglinch Farm is teeming with local wildlife, not to mention all the farm animals; you might be lucky enough to watch the new calves being fed, collect eggs from the chickens or meet the resident guinea pigs.  And if you do want a day at the beach you are absolutely spoilt for choice here, with Ilfracombe just a few minutes drive away and the sandy shores of Woolacombe, the surf mecca of Croyde and Saunton also very close by.  A fantastic glamping site in a beautiful part of Devon.

For a more old fashioned and wild camping experience, we have our pop-up campsite at a different location on the outskirts of the farm - Cheglinch Camping - which is open for a short time in the summer.  We have fire pits, toilets and drinking water but no showers; this is a wonderful back to basics camping experience!  Either bring your own tent or book one of our pre-pitched, unfurnished Lotus Belle Tents.

Pre-pitched unfurnished 5m diameter Lotus Belle tents available to rent. Fire-pit provided but bring all your other camping equipment.  Sorry dogs cannot be accommodated in these tents.

As this is a completely rural location, well away from houses and amenities, the facilities are basic allowing you to experience true wild camping.  A main’s water tap providing fresh drinking water, a sink with cold water for washing up and toilet facilities are provided.  Showers are not available but you are welcome to bring your own portable one.

Pre-Pitched Unfurnished Lotus Belle Tent

Extremely generously sized unmarked pitches so you can choose your favourite location. Up to 6 adults are allowed per pitch, booking a pitch includes two adults, a car and a dog. 

There is plenty of space for children to run around in and we also have toilets and cold mains water for drinking and washing up.



Cheglinch Camping

If you long for the days of good old fashioned camping, without all the bells, whistles and over manicured pitches, then wind your way through the rolling Devon countryside and settle yourselves into this absolute gem.  The rural setting is home to Cheglinch Farm Wild Camping, a campsite on the outskirts of a working farm and open only for a short time over the summer months, before returning back to agricultural farmland.  This lovely unspoiled spot is a taste of what camping used to be, where you can simply bring your tent, set up where you choose in a field unmarked by fenced off pitches, and enjoy stunning, far reaching views across the countryside.  Cows graze in the fields nearby and children are free to run about to their heart’s content.  You’ll need to bring all your own camping gear (although you can hire firepits) but provided here is exactly what you need and nothing more: a drinking water tap, toilet facilities and a sink to wash up; so for those looking for a truly authentic camping affair, this is it.  No showers, but with several excellent swimming beaches very close by on Devon’s beautiful coastline, it’s one exception that’s well worth making.  And you can always bring your own.  What you do get in return is a completely rural location - far away from the farm’s sister glamping site and other facilities - and space and tranquillity to enjoy something that many of us strive for every day.  The chance to just sit, relax, make a barbeque and watch the sun go down in a properly “wild” location.  With the gorgeous sandy beaches of Woolcoombe, Saunton, Ilfracombe and Croyde nearby, you have the beauty of both coastal and countryside settings.  And if you want to travel further afield, Exmoor National Park is only a 30 minute drive away. 
Also good to note that if you love the idea of wild camping here but you don't have a tent, you can hire one of their beautiful pre-erected Lotus Belle tents which are 5 metres in diameter and super spacious.  You'll still need to bring all your things for the inside, but the tricky bit is done for you!

In our 1 Bedroom Deluxe apartment, you can enjoy a spacious living/dining area with large windows that bring in all the natural light. This business-class apartment offers also an integrated office for you to work remotely. Additionally, the apartment offers a spacious lounge with an expandable sofa bed that allows 2 people to sleep, a TV, and a fitted kitchen with basic cooking utensils, pots, pans, and all the necessary cooking equipment.  There you can find a cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and u can also use the hot drink station to make tea. It has two rooms, one double bedroom with a wardrobe and welcome package (pillows and shampoos), and an office room that has a table with stable WIFI for all digital nomads out there. Pets are not allowed in the apartment and if you are arriving by car, there is parking available.

These include recently refurbished seaview studios that sleep two, as well as single storey three bedroom bungalows-great for larger families or groups of friends.

We have different standards of apartment, based on how recently the apartment has been renovated-ranging from standard (basic) to deluxe. Our deluxe units have been refitted with new shower rooms and kitchens, plus they have new sofas and beds, offering enhanced comfort for your stay. Our pricing reflect the standards.

Guests can take advantage of our excellent on-site facilities, includung a recently renovated restuarant and bar, which use locally sourced ingrediants, and sell local artisan beers and ciders. We also have an on-site shop selling all the basics you need, as well as local produce. Coming soon in 2022 is a new café. with outside deck seating and sea views.

Our venue showcases a great range of wvwning entertainment during high season, and hosts events and shows too. we also have an impressive sport sports hall with net games such as badminton, table tennis and more. For younger kids there is a comprehensive soft play area- a great way for your little ones to let off some steam. Older kids and adults can enjoy pitting their wits against a range of games in our amusement arcade.

During high season, we have fun kids' clubs for both younger and older kids, which are free for guests.

The hub of the holiday park is our heated swimming pool and newly installed larger suana- all great for fun, games and keeping fit.

We welcome dogs (in our friendly apartments) and there are plenty of country walks in the local area. for those with mobility issues. ask about our accessible two bedroom apartments.

Coasteering has become one of the most popular adventure experiences in the UK. From our location at the foot of Baggy Point, this area of outstanding natural beauty provides the perfect playground for you to experience coasteering in North Devon. This adrenaline-inducing activity is safe with our experienced and fully qualified instructors.

Coasteering is a low skill activity, but provides a big thrill. You will be in safe hands while you are guided over rocks, jump into the sea, swim through gullies and experience the impact zone along this area of the North Devon coastline.

We will provide you with all the necessary kit and a wetsuit. You will just need to bring suitable footwear. Our sessions are approximately 2.5 hrs long and can be adapted to your ability, allowing you to enjoy the rugged coastline with as much thrill as you desire.

All our times and routes can change daily to suit the tides and sea state, but our experienced instructors will always choose the safest route along the headland ensuring safety is always paramount.

BHS approved Roylands Riding Stables feature a Tiny that is great Trek which can be well suited for your child's first foray into riding! The youngsters can enjoy a 30 minute walk that is gentle being led by friendly specialist on a lead rein. This good beginning that is peaceful proceed along a quite bridle path with good views of Croyde Bay as a backdrop, exemplary for memorable photos! Opportunities for the greater amount of rider that is experienced scenic coastline, dense woodland and sand dune hacks, all obviously providing differing riding conditions to master and revel in. The route that is sandy is a delicacy, being across 3 kilometers of gorgeous Putsborough Beach, however it should really be noted that this is certainly for experienced over 14s only. Dressage and jumping lessons will also be readily available for improvers, plus A that is very own Pony for people young ones whom fancy the dream! They are able to have a complete time of Pony Ownership from 9.30am to 5pm which include half hour tuition, a one hour hack, a management that is stable and supervised duty over feeding and grooming the pony. Cool!
