About This Activity

Trues Yard Museum, also known as True's Yard Fisherfolk Museum, is an individually run history that is social that is run almost completely by volunteers, and tells the tale of the old North End fishing quarter in King's Lynn. The North End of King's Lynn was when home to a huge selection of fishermen and their families. They worked and lived in tiny cottages, crammed into little yards. Just 2 cottages survived the slum clearances in the 1930s and 1960s, plus they are available by the two of you at real's Yard Museum. Explore the cottages, town models, galleries, fishing smack and more with this young ones that are new tracks. Have you thought to have a go at doing the washing (Victorian style of course!), or hoist the banner on the boat (climate allowing)? Dip into to our brand new dressing up package to find out more about pirates, smugglers and other characters. There is so much to learn here, it absolutely was want to be a 'Northender', with a variety of interactive activities, guided trips, and tracks to follow as you move back in its history to discover exactly what.
