Snowdrop Dome

Just three large private camping pitches nestled in amongst the wildflowers and meadow. Escape back to nature with the luxury of your own 'posh' eco/compost toilet on your pitch along with a campfire pit and picnic bench. A large camping pitch roughly 18m wide by 6m deep (including toilet, campfire and bench) on an existing campsite.

The pitch is non-electric however, there is a plug socket in the communal area to use for charging you are welcome to use, along with a shared freezer for ice packs, fridge, mini shop, washing up facilities, tourist information and games.

A hot powered large shower for the few camping pitches in the communal area is included in the price.

WELCOME TO PANT Y RHEDYN

Pant Y Rhedyn is a 10-acre smallholding sitting in the hills of the Conwy valley.  We are lucky to enjoy panoramic views of unspoilt countryside and the Snowdonia mountain range.  We are located centrally to the local tourist towns of Llanrwst and Llandudno. We are also a short drive away from Snowdonia National Park.

Enjoy meeting our animals up close.  We have Alpacas, pigs, sheep and chickens who all love attention from our guests.
 

We are a family recently relocated from Kent (although some families were originally from North Wales so we have come home) to set up our little smallholding in the beautiful surroundings of North Wales. We are building up our smallholding and currently have our vegetable garden, pigs, alpacas, sheep and chickens.  

Pant y Rhedyn, an old welsh longhouse is surrounded by plenty of trees, beautiful gardens and a vegetable garden. We have a small woodland to one side, a paddock for the sheep and alpacas on the other side and a rear meadow that is home to our dome accommodation.

Tan Aeldroch is a 42 acre Welsh sheep farm.  Now run as a Nature Reserve, the current owners have been working to restore the natural ecology of the valley since 2003.   Tan Aeldroch has been a well established campsite since 1951 and many people return year after year to enjoy its unique setting. ​Nestled in the stunning Lledr valley, Camp Snowdonia offers a true back-to-nature camping experience.  The site is beautiful and peaceful,  and comprises two flat fields - bordered on one side by the mighty Lledr River.  It's a quiet haven - about as close to 'wild' camping as you can get on a site. Bronze Pitch

In the heart of the gorgeous North Wales countryside you will find Bryn Ffanigl Ganol Caravan and Camping Park; a small, family run campsite where you will be greeted with open arms and given a very warm welcome.  It’s a rural spot, and with the glorious rolling green hills as a backdrop and 360 degree panoramic views from every pitch, it is not difficult to see why guests come back and stay here again and again.  It is a peaceful, friendly and quiet campsite in a tranquil setting; everyone is welcome (including dogs) and you are assured of a very relaxing stay.

The spacious pitches are well set out over the campsite with hardstanding and grass pitches available and a variety of options depending on whether you want a fully serviced pitch, electricity or a more basic tent pitch.  A spanking clean and underfloor heated shower and toilet block opened in 2018 and is very well maintained - still looking brand new actually - and there are all the facilities you need including a laundry, a washing up area and a chemical disposal.  They also have a tourist and information point, so if you are not familiar with this part of Wales, you can get your bearings and find out exactly what you can do in the local area and where things are.  The wardens on the campsite are always available and very happy to help out.

The location is cracking. The green farmland of Bryn Ffanigl Ganol sits only a few miles from the nearest beach and the north Wales coastal roads offer a vast variety of stunning scenery. Visit the elegant town of Llandudno, one of Britain’s most popular seaside resorts, with a history that goes back to the Bronze Age. Or Conwy - only 20 minutes away from the campsite - with its imposing 13th century Castle and walls that form part of the local UNESCO World Heritage Site.  The town walls are considered to be among the finest and most complete in Europe, stretching for nearly a mile around medieval Conwy, with 21 towers and 3 original gateways.  It is quite a sight.  If you don’t mind heights,  you can walk the length of the walls and will be treated to stunning views of the Castle and the estuary beyond.

Gwrych Castle, last year’s home to the celebs on “I’m a Celebrity Get me out of Here!” is a fifteen minute drive away; they are currently in the throes of a restoration project, but you can still visit and it is a spectacular building.  The coast and its attractions however are only half the story.  Bryn Ffanigl Ganol is close to the spectacular Snowdonia National Park, where you can hike, bike and climb to your heart’s content, with some of the most magnificent trails, mountains and lakes to be seen anywhere in the UK.  

Back at the campsite all is quiet.  The rural location means that your pitch is a welcome sanctuary at the end of a day exploring all north Wales has to offer.  And depending on how wild your adventures have been, you might be glad of a hot shower and an evening just putting your feet up and watching the sun go down.

Please be aware there are no beds in the Pods and you need to bring everything you might need for a camping trip apart from the tent and the facilities mentioned below.

The Mynydd Mawr SuperPod is a refurbished caravan with excellent views of the Mynydd Mawr and Moel Elio Mountains.

It has an open plan living space that includes a kitchen and dining area with fridge and gas hob, microwave, sink as well as pots, pans, plates and cutlery etc. There is a double sofa bed, two single Z beds, and a small bed for a child. A bathroom with toilet and wash basin. The campsite showers are close by.

The campsite facilities include a variety of pitches, with hook-ups if needed, modern toilet blocks with free hot showers, baby changing facilities, disabled shower room and a utility room. The campsite has a play park, a television room with table tennis and a pool table. There is plenty of space for BBQs; we even allow camp fires in one of our camping fields; after all we think that camp fires are an essential part of camping.

Buarth Wern is a 3 bedroom wooden lodge with uninterrupted views of the Moel Eilio and Mynydd Mawr mountains. Tucked away from the camp site, with its own entrance and grounds. There is plenty of outside space in which to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the countryside, the stunning views, and the sound of the small stream running nearby.

The lodge has been fitted to a high standard. It has 3 bedrooms, two doubles, one single and a sofa bed in the lounge. The bathroom has a shower, w/c and wash hand basin. The open plan living area includes sofas, TV, dining area and a fully fitted kitchen, including a dishwasher, mircowave and fridge. The lodge has central heating and free internet access.

Outside there is a large decked area, with picnic table, bench, BBQ and fire pit.

The Eilio Pod

Tyn yr Onnen Farm, Caravan and Campsite in Waunfawr, Caernarfon, Gwynedd, North Wales 

Set on a traditional Welsh sheep farm, this family run Campsite with Self-Catering accommodation lies at the foot of the Moel Ellio Mountain with Snowdon nestled behind. Tyn-yr-Onnen is the perfect spot for those who want to experience Snowdon, go off the beaten track and enjoy the farms breath taking scenery.

The campsite facilities include a variety of pitches, with hook-ups if needed, modern toilet blocks with free hot showers, baby changing facilities, disabled shower room and a utility room. The campsite has a play park, a television room with table tennis and a pool table. There is plenty of space for BBQs; we even allow camp fires in one of our camping fields; after all we think that camp fires are an essential part of camping.

Tyn-yr-Onnen also has a variety of self-catered accommodation so you can enjoy this picturesque location with some added luxury.

From the farm there are 100s of acres of heath land to explore where you may meet our sheep, donkeys, lamas, pigs, ponies, chickens, ducks and turkeys. If you visit us in the spring, you can see some of our new born lambs. Walks to Mynyndd Mawr and Moel Elio mountains are easily accessible from the site, the most adventurous can even walk to the summit of Snowdon - we will be happy to recommend some of our favourite walks.

Its not all about mountains and walking, there are castles to explore in Caernafon and Beaumaris, and the beautiful beaches in the Llyn Peninsular and the Isle of Anglesey. The Welsh Highland Railway Station in the village is a pleasant walk from the Campsite. Zipworld with the fastest zipline in the world is easily accessible by car. A short drive brings you to the village of Llanberis with the famous train to the summit of Snowdon, Electric Mountain, LLanberis Slate museum, and so much more.

Tyn-yr-Onnen

Named for the Great Orme visible along the coast. And available to book for couples or young families.

(Available from April 2022.)

Orme, named for Llandudno's famous landmark, the Great Orme which can be viewed from the coastal footpaths nearby the Coppice will be our 'Family' pod, due for completion in 2022. It's decor will have a "Countryside" twist with woolen throws draping the bed, farm animal inspired artwork, and a woodland to enjoy right outside the door.

Whilst the Coppice is not geared towards specific family holidays, what we are ideal for is those youngest families where you're not quite ready to give up on a quality "grown up" break, and your children aren't quite ready for kids clubs and mass entertainment. Have the campfire experience, toast some Marshmallows, and just enjoy the great outdoors, whilst the awesome indoors is always ready and waiting for you close by.

All our pods have an ensuite shower room as well as kitchen facilities, and underfloor heating. 

Please note that this accommodates only 2 adults. Additional 2 guests can either only be children or infants.

Orme Berth Pod

Ayr, named for the Point of Ayr lighthouse, on Talacre Beach, is our flagship 2 berth pod. It's decor has a "Coastal" twist in keeping with its namesake. With woollen throws, fresh & light beach inspired colour scheme, and local coastal artwork on the walls.

Ayr is further enhanced by being an extra metre longer than our standard pod, and with a side entrance. enables the addition of a much larger ensuite shower room, and a sumptuous snuggle chair to cuddle up in front of your wood burning stove (new 2022) on those cooler nights.

​Also new for 2022, Ayr will have a semi covered decking area to the front leading to your private and secluded Wood fired hot tub!​

Please note: for the rest of the 2021 season, Ayr remains available as our family pod with a 2 + 2 berth layout. But there are discounts for 2 person occupancy.

Offa, named for Offa's Dyke (Clawdd Offa) the trans Wales ancient earthwork and now pathway, which is nearby, is our very first 2 berth pod. Its decor has a subtle "Wildlife" twist with sumptuous faux furs draping the bed, and inspiring local landscape artwork on the walls.

Hire some wheels from us and head off for a full day or half day on some of our local mountain bike trails. Expect brilliant singletrack and some truly awesome scenery. Age 18+.

GORGE WALKING
Work your way up through a beautiful Snowdonia gorge by scrambling, climbing, swimming and squeezing your way through. Come rain or shine, this is a great all-weather activity! Age 10+.

DROP JUMPS & ZIP
Brave our high rise drop jumps then take a zip ride over our lagoon. Age 7+, weight restrictions apply, please see below.

Jumping from our adrenaline tower, youll test your head and stomach for heights by launching yourself off 9 and 12 metre platforms. Attached to a full safety harness and cord, the initial part of your jump will be a free-fall before the auto belay catches you and lowers you safely to the ground.

Recover from your adrenaline rush with a zip ride over our lagoon, with birds eye views of surfers and the beautiful mountains and forests beyond.

SOFT PLAY & CAF�
Your little adventurers will have a whale of a time at our soft play zone  its the perfect place to burn off some energy, come rain or shine.

Accompanying grown-ups can relax in our friendly caf� area, with barista coffee, light snacks and soft drinks. Time for a little treat? Treat the gang to a couple of scoops from our delicious M�r ice cream bar.

Bodnant Garden

Treasure tracks are a way that is great explore a town, town or village and understand the region whilst enjoying a great and healthier stroll into the outdoors with friends or household. The Conwy self guided themed Treasure Trail will require you along slim medieval roads in the castle walls and across the harbour that is old search of treasure! Whilst after the guidelines, you together with kids will need to keep your eyes out in order to resolve the clues which are sneaky on permanent features which highlight the concealed gems of Conwy. After you have solved every one of the clues, your treasure that is olde map have just one location left on it&where the treasure be hidden! Superb fun for your family that is whole any youngster aged 6 upwards will get involved in the Trail, whilst moms and dads usually get struck utilizing the Trailing bug aswell! The Trail can be carried out in your time. The path is 2.5 miles long so when helpful information shall take around 2.5 hours to complete. Once you've fixed this path, you will want to try a Spy Mission or movement that is detective path; there are 17 more Trails in North Wales to take pleasure from!
