Whilst we think that these pitches are fantastic and offer peace and quiet in remote locations, they do not offer any facilities. For those looking for a little more comfort or conventional camping, these may not be your first choice.

With 10 individual camping spots dotted across our farm, there are plenty of choices to suit everyone. Each pitch is set up with a picnic table, fire pit and compost toilet. So all you need to do is pick your favourite spot and bring your tent!

Please, note that whilst we think these spots are fantastic, they may not be to everyone's tastes or requirements. There is no running water, electric or flush-able toilets - if you want a little more comfort during your break we recommend having a look at our Glamping Spaces

Wild Camping

Handmade using an old trailer as a base and salvaged materials from the Farm, the Hut couples a charming interior with an authentic feel. Fitted with just the basics of fire, bed and blankets, The Hut has all you need for your back-to-basic retreat in the hills.

Set alone in a ten-acre field of a small sheep farm, this is a truly remote location. With no one else around to share the panoramic views of the Shropshire countryside, apart from birds and bees-  It's your own private escape.

This cosy, rustic hut is the perfect way to get back to basics. With its own double bed, small kitchenette and wood-burning fire the Hut is the ideal space to get away from the modern world and reclaim the wild in you.  Small, but not confined, the Hut is ideal for cosying up at any time of year.

Because of the remote location of The Hut, and its simple facilities the Hut does not include:

Running Water  (Bottled drinking water is included)

Flushing Toilet (Compost Toilet on site)

On-site parking (short walk through a field)

We believe that this really adds to the authenticity and experience of a stay aimed to get people back into nature and away from modern life. We are an independently run 40 acre campsite & fishery, set in AONB within the Shropshire hills. The site is a mixture of meadows, woodland, brooks and lakes.

There are public footpaths and bridleways leading to and from the site and a 10 minute drive from the pubs, cafés, restaurants and supermarket of the local town of Church Stretton, and the popular and heathery hills of the Carding Mill Valley.. A 30 minute drive will allow you access to multiple attractions such as Ludlow Castle, Ironbridge, St Laurence's Church, Ludlow, Stokesay castle, Ludlow race course, Attingham park, Clun castle, Hopton Castle, Wenlock Edge (an 18 mile stretch of woodland) and many other attractions.

We have 3 fishing lakes, suitable for all skill levels - species include multiple variety of carp up to 20lbs+, Sturgeon up to 20lbs+, bream, perch, roach, trout and gudgeon.

Open fires are permitted and actively encouraged, free firepits provided and firewood available to purchase at competitive prices on site (please do not bring your own).

Additional activities and amenities on site include a wild swimming lake (kayaking, paddle boarding etc), ira rifle range and rifle hire, childrens electric quad bike hire, play area including trampoline, swings, slide etc, onsite shop selling camping essentials and fishing goods (including baits) rod hire and tuition also available upon request (tuition subject to availability). We have several shower and toilet blocks, multiple water points and washing facilities.  There is also a communal charging point available FOC for charging phones, ipads etc

Groups welcome - if your group is larger than our maximum occupancy, please contact us directly.  

Please note there is no hot water on site (with the exception of the showers) and guests are required to bring their own toilet paper. Greenway Touring and Glamping Park is an adults only site set in the rolling Corvedale Hills.

We are an ideal base to recharge one's batteries, explore and discover what the beautiful Shropshire Hills have to offer - leaving the stress and strains of family and work life behind.
Mooch round some of the historic market towns like Ludlow, Bridgnorth, Church Stretton and Much Wenlock. 
Explore Ironbridge Gorge and it's museums including Blist Hill Victorian Town.
Walk or cycle for miles in Carding Mill Valley, Long Mynd, Wenlock Edge and The Stiperstones.properties in the area.
There are several walks direct from the site.
Plenty of independent shops, pubs and eateries to try, several National Trust and English Heritage properties in the area.
Larger towns of Shrewsbury and Telford not too far.
 
Each glamping pod has a 4ft (double) bed, small fridge, heater, kettle, plates, cups, bowls, cutlery inside.
Guests have to provide their own bedding. (sheet, pillows, duvet in covers or sleeping bags).
There is a chimenea / BBQ and bistro set outside for alfresco cooking and warmth whilst watching the sunset and just relaxing in the evenings.

Touring pitches are also available - we welcome caravans, motorhomes, campervans, tents and trailer tents. We have six fully serviced hard standing pitches and grass pitches with or without electricity.

Dogs are welcome in 2 of our pods and on the touring pitches.

Departures from our Shropshire Glamping pods are up until 11am although guests are welcome to stay on site, we will need access to the camping pods to clean them. Later departures may be possible depending on the time of year.

Arrivals are technically from 3pm but you are welcome to arrive earlier and if your camping pod is available we will let you in. If your camping pod is not ready you are welcome to chill out on site, look at information or you can go for a local walk leaving your car here. If you require a much earlier check in time please telephone us as this may be possible.

Departures for the touring pitches are up until noon and arrivals are welcome after this.

There is a modern toilet and shower block and washing up area a short distance away from the pods. Wayside Camping | Camping In Shropshire
Wayside campsite situated in the Shropshire Hills that is a
designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. On the outskirts of Aston-on-Clun, Wayside is ideally
located for whichever type of holiday you are looking for. For those looking for a quiet
get away from it all break then the nearby towns of Ludlow and Church Stretton offer
relaxed shopping within picturesque surroundings. Walkers of all ages and abilities are catered for with a
choice ranging from gentle strolls around the village green to easy access to the Shropshire Way.
Hopton and the Long Mynd are close by for cyclists, with tracks for every skill level.
Wayside is a quiet campsite on a gentle slope that has easy access from the road and is located
in a rural setting within walking distance of Aston on Clun. Nearby facilities include
a pub, shop and village hall within Aston on Clun and a train station in Broome.
Onsite facilities include toilet block with showers, motor home service point,
waste facilities and washing up area with freezer and microwave for guests use.

On approach to the site there are electric gates with a coded entry ensuring our site is secure for your children and dogs.

There is a car park available for parking your vehicles away from the pitch, making the most of your surroundings and spacious pitches.

Locally you will find everything you need for your stay with the local village of Much Wenlock a short distance away.

All electric pitches will have its own coin meter where you put £1 coins in at your leisure.

The **Shropshire Hills** are a wonder to behold; gorgeous green undulating hills, waterfalls, rolling farmland, woods and river valleys. Just on the edge of all this loveliness, only nine miles from **Wenlock Edge** and the woodlands of the Hills sits **Walnut Cottage** **Caravan Park**, a tranquil family run campsite offering a wonderful break in one of the most beautiful parts of the country.  The campsite is a working farm; there are sheep, horses and cows grazing in the surrounding fields, and the farmhouse buildings are Grade II listed, dating back to the 1600’s.  You will be given a wonderfully warm welcome here.
 
The campsite is accessed through a secure gated driveway, making it safe for children and dogs, and once inside the grounds, you will find an **attractive and spacious site** with plenty of room for caravans, motorhomes, campervans and tents, with the option of electricity if you need it.  Facilities include a brand new toilet and shower block - which was renovated in 2021 - with hairdryers, an indoor washing up area including access to a dishwasher and sink, and a laundry room. There are excellent disabled facilities too, with accessible hard standing pitches, an accessible chemical disposal area and separate toilet and shower facilities.  Also onsite is a **good play park **for children to burn off any excess energy, with swings, a climbing frame and a trampoline, and a separate toddler area for the younger ones.  Well behaved dogs are very welcome too.
 
The location of **Walnut Cottage Caravan Park** is excellent.  Just 10 minutes drive away is **Much Wenlock**, a very attractive medieval market town with bags of Georgian and Victorian architecture to admire as you wander around the streets; parts of it feel like it hasn’t changed in years! A short stroll from the town centre is the dramatic ruins of **Wenlock Priory** - now a **National Heritage** property - which is well worth a visit.  Much Wenlock is also your nearest place to stock up on supplies.
The Shropshire Hills themselves are one of the main reasons that people visit this part of the country; this **Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty** is a paradise for ramblers and adventurers alike.  There are countless walking routes, cycling paths and horse riding trails - many of which are part of the **Shropshire Way Circular** - so look out your hiking boots and get exploring this beautiful area.  The endless paths and vast open spaces will take you along meadows, past river valleys, across hilltops and ancient woodlands and through pretty villages.  Aside from hiking the hills, there are countless charming towns to visit; **Ludlow**, the well-known foodie paradise, historic Clun, Ironbridge, Church Stretton, Craven Arms and Whitchurch, just to name a few. There is so much to explore, visit and discover here.
 
Back at **Walnut Cottage**, there is plenty of time for relaxing and lighting up the barbeque in the evening and admiring the beautiful views across the fields and beyond. It is a tranquil and quiet spot and a really fantastic place to go for a countryside break to escape it all.  Guests who stay here consistently give it **excellent reviews**, often with special mentions to the owners, who go out of their way to make your holiday as relaxing and memorable as possible. Brow Farm Campsite located in Ratlinghope, west of the Longmynd is a diverse and surprising area of outstanding natural beauty, ever changing and thrilling to explore.

The campsite will take many people back to their childhood, sinking ankle deep into old wildflower meadows, which our Grandparents took for granted.

Blue bells, cowslips, angelica, spotted orchids, buttercups, pink, red and white clovers, blooms that are so rare and precious nowadays can still be seen in this unspoilt wildflower meadow.

Step into the shoes of Alice and stick to the bunny that is white the rabbit hole, straight to Mad Hatters Church Stretton! This large indoor Wonderland-themed play that is soft will amuse the kids and occupy their imagination all day. Your tiny adventurers have actually a multi-level play that is soft to explore. They'll certainly be busy sliding that is crawling climbing and jumping around. What about the tots? There's a area that is special the them, therefore all young ones can enjoy play time safely. Oh, and Mad Hatters is often immaculate, so that you won't have to worry about cleanliness!  We can't mention the Mad Hatter without thinking about the Mad that is famous Hatter tea party. Why don't you treat yourself to a cup of tea? Sit right back and relax during the cafe that is on-site the little ones burn some energy at the play barn.

Shropshire Hills Mountain Bike Centre is placed in 4 acres of beautiful Shropshire Countryside and offers access that is unrivaled a few of the UKs finest natural trails for road and off road riding. The trails range in difficulty to accommodate everyone else from beginners to professionals. You'll pick a trail map up regarding the Longmynd for just £1 which will show you to the method marked tracks if you don't fancy braving it entirely alone! There's also a variety of Geocache trails so download your app in advance for that and pocket some treasures to swap down en route. Expert help (CTC or SMBLA qualified) is on hand to simply help prepare your tracks to match your group, and there are a selection of well serviced and maintained bikes in every size and shapes available if you don't take your personal, with a dysfunction that is reassuring service offered too! It takes a lot of the worry away from a trip like this if you can get into trouble if you know someone's willing to come and save you! Facilities on site include professional repair and shop studio, information services, shower block and bike wash. You can get advice that is expert your following ride too, with this being an accredited demo centre for all the top brands they stock.
