It is a self catering holiday accommodation, which sleeps 2 adults and has a separate toilet and shower room, it also has a fully equipped kitchen. The hut set into the Somerset country side with spectacular views and great access to local attractions.

To Rest a While is located in the picturesque county of Somerset between the medieval city of Wells and the mystical town of Glastonbury. There is plenty to do to suit all tastes. Shopping at Clarks outlet village, exploring the caves and mill at Wookey Hole or visiting Cheddar - a world-famous area of outstanding natural beauty.  You will be based a short drive from the cities of Bristol and Bath along with the sea side town of Weston-Super-Mare. Or you can simply relax at To Rest a While and enjoy the views, walk around the secluded lanes and take in the scenery of the Somerset Levels.

To Rest A While

Our campsite offers guests a tranquil space with its open grass area surrounded by the orchard. The pitches have been designed to accommodate caravans, motorhomes, campervans and tents. The tree’s positions naturally mark out our pitches and can provide welcome shade in the summer. Options for both grass and hardstanding pitches are available, all with EHU and clean facilities.

We have ladies and men’s toilets and a coin operated shower. There is a washing up area, recycling bins, chemical waste facility and Rural Wi-Fi available on site. Dogs are welcome, but obviously we ask they are kept on leads and owners clean up after them. You are welcome to bring a BBQ providing it is kept 18 inches off the grass.

These three Luxury Glamping pods are hand built to our own layout and design. They are larger than normal and fitted with a full en-suit with shower, a kitchenette with Belfast sink, two ring hob, fridge, kettle, coffee maker and toaster.

A comfortable full-size double bed ensures a good night sleep while the bed settee easily pulls out to sleep 2 young children up to 12 years. Inside there is a table and chairs, TV, rural Wi-Fi and underfloor heating.

Outside, each pod has a good size private decking area, ambient lighting, Rattan Dinning set and a BBQ to enjoy alfresco dining.

This luxury pod is made for 2 adults and comes with a kitchenette, combi microwave, fridge, kettle, Coffee maker and toaster.

A Full-size double bed ensures a good night sleep. You have table and chairs, a comfortable sofa, TV, rural Wi-Fi and convection wall heating. The en-suite has a toilet, hand basin and heated towel rail, there is access to a coin operated shower in our toilet block.

Outside you have a good-sized decking area with Rattan furniture, ambient lighting and a BBQ so you can relax and enjoy some outdoor living.

Deluxe Pod

Set on the edge of the pretty village of Butleigh and surrounded by stunning countryside is our hideaway luxury glamping and campsite - Orchard Farm Campsite. 

Our charming site manages to feel both intimate and spacious. In a private section at the centre of our six-acre Orchard are four Luxury Glamping Pods. While in another nearly flat section with a toilet and shower block, is an area allocated for up to 10 Caravans, Motorhomes and Campervans.

There are so many things to do in the immediate area, from the attractions and sights in Glastonbury to beautiful country walks and bike rides all starting from the campsite. Alternatively, make the most of the peaceful surroundings to just relax with a good book, be with family and friends while enjoying a cold cider from the orchard.

Well behaved dogs are welcome in the campsite area.

Our 7-acre camping field can accommodate Tents, Caravans, and Camper Vans. We provide drinking water and composting toilets. There are NO set pitches, showers or electricity. THIS IS REAL CAMPING. Come and enjoy the stunning views, a campfire and a digital detox.

All water taps on site are drinking water, please try to avoid bringing water in plastic bottles

Grass Pitch - Tents, Caravans & Campervans

There is a refreshingly relaxed and old-school atmosphere here at Ebboways Farm campsite, an atmosphere that harks back to the days gone by of unfussy, “real” camping, with paired backed facilities and a wonderfully distinct lack of modern intrusions.  On arrival, a warm welcome awaits you from the owners - who also run a B&B on the old farm site - and you can pitch anywhere you fancy in the long, wildflower-strewn grass. The campsite spans across 7 acres and the grassy areas are interspersed with woodland copses and pretty glades.  

All are welcome; tents, caravans and campervans; this is camping as it used to be, with no set pitches, no showers, no electricity, no wifi - and it is all part of the charm of the place.  Campfires are actively encouraged and wood can be bought onsite.  Come here for a digital detox, to get back to nature and enjoy the gorgeous surrounding views.  The campsite has composting toilets and taps providing drinking water, but otherwise, this is as close to wild camping as you are able to get - without actually breaking any rules of pitching randomly in someone’s field.  It’s rather magical. 

Ebborways Farm is in an enviable location, situated in the village of Priddy and nestled into the heart of the extraordinarily beautiful Mendip Hills in Somerset; an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  It is hard to believe you are only 40 minutes from Bristol here, the city feels a million miles away.  The limestone hills of the Mendips are one of England’s most special and attractive places, with Chew Valley lake and a stunning landscape of steep slopes, spectacular gorges and grasslands full of flowers and wildlife.  Beneath the hills are the world-renowned Mendip Caves - Cheddar and Wookey Hole caves being the most famous attractions and accessible for all; the more tricky-to-reach caverns are popular with serious cavers looking for a challenge.  Overground, the top of the hills provide stunning views across to Wales, the Quantock Hills and Glastonbury Tor; the latter being known as one of the most spiritual places in England as well as the site of the legendary Glastonbury Festival.

And talking of festivals, Ebborways Farm is a great place to stay if you are planning on attending a festival in the area; it is one of the allocated campsites for the Priddy Folk Festival held annually in mid-July.  Other local festivals include the Top of the Gorge Festival, the Priddy Funday and Craft Fair and the Guy Fawkes Illuminated Carnival. 

The campsite is a tranquil getaway.  It is quiet, and relaxed and provides uninterrupted views across the beautiful Somerset hills.  In the evenings, wind down around a campfire with friends and family, watch the sunset and get back to proper laid-back outdoor living. Or wander into the village of Priddy to the excellent Queen Victoria Inn for a meal cooked with local produce and sample some of the delicious ciders on offer (you are in Somerset, after all, it would be rude not to).  This informal and back-to-basics campsite is a true gem in the Mendip Hills; the sense of space and freedom and uncomplicated living makes for a beautiful holiday.

Banbury Meadow is managed organically as a private nature reserve with Somerset Wildlife Trust certification and carefully presented as a tranquil glamping retreat, we are situated on the fringe of the historic village of Butleigh, less than a 10-minute drive from the famous town of Glastonbury, overlooking Glastonbury Tor and within the ancient Vale of Avalon. 
We are a small glamping retreat that will especially appeal to people with an interest in treading lightly on the earth and reconnecting with nature and just being able to unplug and relax.

We have two 6m yurts available for private rental, either as separate bookings or we are able to offer exclusive rental of the entire site for up to eight guests at a time

Somerset's newest indoor play that is soft, The Square provides an enjoyable experience for both children and their parents.Two fantastic, separate areas, based on age (one for babies/toddlers and a larger one for the older kids), separated by a cafi selling coffee, home-baked cakes and a comprehensive menu.There are a lot of comfy sofas and quirky chairs to be sure grownups can flake out whilst the young ones have some fun. Plus, in the practical part, are a good amount of toilets, two baby-changing areas and lots of various vehicle parks to select from within a few of minutes walk.The entire centre is fully available by wheelchair or by those with restricted mobility.There can also be a large, easy-access bathroom.

Shepton Mallet Outdoor Pool, saved just off an unprepossessing domestic street in Shepton Mallet, is a fantastic place to simply take the youngsters for an outdoor swim throughout the summertime, with a toddler pool, a wonderful series of fountains and water jets to try out in, plus a kid's play area in the grass.The main pool measures 25m x 12m (more or less 82ft x 39ft), which range from 0.9m (2ft 11) at the superficial end to 2m (6ft 6) by the end that is deep.
