Royal Victoria Park

Royal Victoria Park is a beautiful expanse of green parkland a mere stroll that is brief the city centre, so it is a wonderful compromise journey for children that don't appreciate being dragged round the stores!Originally an arboretum and opened by an 11 yr old Queen Victoria, the Park covers over 57 acres with plenty to help keep you occupied, regardless of age. Bring some friends for a playful game of tennis or have a family group tournament on the 18 hole golf that is mini, which will be purportedly trickier than it first seems! Addititionally there is a thrilling and pretty playground that is expansive wear the kiddies out: zoom over the zip wire, overcome the pyramid climbing frame and navigate imaginatively through most of the enjoyable play equipment.There's also a good brand new skate park feature here for the children to truly get you wheely stressed with! Give them a helmet plus don't look! (no, do actually!)For one thing a little more relaxing, don't miss out the botanical gardens (bought at the end that is north and take a stroll across to the pond to feed the ducks. Plus within the better weather, Victoria Park could be the spot that is perfect picnics, whether in the main fray while watching curving Royal Crescent or further into the parkland for a pleasingly secluded environment where you can often view the hot air balloons put up before heading up, up and away throughout the city. Lovely!Throughout the summer months you will find often bands and artists live that is performing the bandstand, and the fairgrounds and circuses which are now familiar yearly people to Royal Victoria Park. Then in to the autumn needless to say the park that is entire color and tone, and when winter hits look for the open-air ice rink in November and December, perfect for engaging in the Christmas time spirit!
