In the mid 1960s the Park was purchased by its current family owners and was then a stylish and extremely popular holiday destination in the golden age of caravan holidays. The Park still remains one of the most sought after and exclusive locations along the Kent Coast and remains true to its traditional ideals of peace, tranquility and privacy.

The Park was once the historic estate of the now famed Sir William Garrow who built his family home here, nestled amongst the elms that sheltered it from the elements in the 18th century. In 2010 a blue plaque was bestowed upon the house, honouring the time the Attorney General lived here.
