Swinton Bivouac | Glamping In the Yorkshire Dales
At every stage of the design and build of the Swinton Bivouac a combination of practical comfort with a natural style has been our fundamental guiding force.
Unique to the site, the tree-lodges echo the philosophy. Designed by founder Sam Hardwick and Rudi Meseg, one of the original team members that built the acclaimed timber house on Channel 4 s Grand Designs.
The durable and environmentally sound timber-frames create a distinctive look and feel, with exterior larch cladding.
Set in woodland, the tree-lodges let you get close to nature, whilst enjoying the comfort and practicality that allows the enjoyment of the sweeping view across the dale and rolling Yorkshire countryside.
The Mongolian inspired dwellings are ideal for the Yorkshire climate and the Bivouac Meadow Yurts have been hand made in the UK and have taken some unique features:
Sage green in colour, the Yurts are designed to blend into their pastureland setting, and natural canvas is waterproof designed to ensure that you are dry and warm or cool and sheltered at all times.
Please note that the yurts are seasonal and available from the beginning of April to the end of October.
The farmhouse and barn (home to the cafe,The Loft, The Snug, shower facilities and shop) have been thoughtfully restored, with the original features and an authentic sense of warmth retained.
