Situated on the West Mendip Way with footpaths direct from Owley leading to Cheddar Village with its many tea rooms, pubs and restaurants, Cheddar Gorge and the Mendip Hills, it is the perfect location for you if you enjoy an active break or just need to chill. Ideal for walking, hiking, climbing, caving, cycling or just relaxing and listening to the birds and the owls. Just five spacious fully equipped Lotus Belle Tents have exclusive use of the one-acre paddock with flushing toilets and hot showers.

In a wonderful location at the foot of the beautiful **Mendip Hills** in the county of **Somerset**, is the small and lovely **Rodney Stoke Caravan and Camping Park**; exclusively for **adults only** and a great spot for those looking for a quiet and peaceful break.  The campsite is set in pretty countryside between **Cheddar** and the city of **Wells**, and if you are lucky enough to bag one of the 26 pitches, you will find a traditional and well run campsite with both grassy and hardstanding pitches and the choice of electricity if you wish.  The facilities are excellent, with a brand new shower and toilet block which is kept very clean, and the Park Warden - Tom - making sure everyone is well looked after. It is a flat, accessible and well-maintained site, welcoming tents, caravans and motorhomes. Your four-legged dog friends are also very welcome here too.  
 
Location-wise, you could not be better placed for exploring this part of the country.  The stunning **Mendips** - an **Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty** - is a stone’s throw from the campsite, and from here you can explore this wonderful landscape of limestone hills, spectacular gorges, picturesque lakes and mysterious underground caverns.  There are some fantastic walking trails for hikers - with many routes along the **Mendip Way** - and cyclists, rock climbers and horse riders will find plenty to keep them occupied here too.  Attractions include the world famous **Cheddar Gorge** - just three miles from Rodney Stoke -  Britain’s biggest gorge at over 400 feet deep and 3 miles long.  Here you can explore the 500,000 year old underground caves and find out all about the discovery of Britain’s oldest complete skeleton - **Cheddar Man** - who was found here in 1903 and is estimated to be around 9000 years old.  The **show caves**, full of stalagmites and stalactites, are a wonder to behold and there is also a museum to explain all about the history of this extraordinary place.  If that’s not enough underground excitement, The **Wookey Hole** **Caves** are also a very popular tourist attraction; as well as the stunning caverns there are gardens, woodland walks and many other family friendly activities to do here.

Fifteen minutes away from Rodney Stoke Caravan and Camping Park is the medieval city of **Wells**, England’s smallest city and named because of the natural springs that can still be found in the gorgeous gardens of **Bishops Palace**.  It is a great place for a wander around with its narrow streets, lively markets and of course, the dominant 13th Century Cathedral.  Other nearby places of interest include the mystical **Glastonbury Tor**, the seaside town of **Burnham on Sea** and a little further away, the Roman built City of **Bath**.

Back at the campsite, there’s no need to cook if you’re not in the mood.  The Rodney Stoke Inn lies just in front of the campsite and offers delicious food with no staggering distance at all after a big meal.  For something a bit different, walk 20 minutes to the quirky Cider Barn, serving sourdough pizzas and a great selection of West Country ciders and ales.  If you are planning a holiday in the Mendip Hills, Rodney Stoke is an excellent choice for a peaceful break in a fantastic location.

We are a small family run camp site situated on our working dairy farm. The camp site sits on a gentle slope amongst apple and plum trees.

We have a beautiful well kept toilet block with 3 rainfall showers ,hot and cold water  and shaver and hair dryer points in each bathroom.

The Shepherds hut is set in a paddock over looking the campsite with a pamaramic view of The Mendips. Parking is next to the Hut.

We pasteurise our milk on the farm and sell it from a vending machine in a small barn at the top of drive, along side it is another machine selling glass bottles , butter ,cheese eggs and preservers all from local producers. You also have the option of making your own milkshakes with a range of classic flavours .The machines are contactless only payments.

Grass Pitch - Tents, Caravans & Campervans

There is a refreshingly relaxed and old-school atmosphere here at Ebboways Farm campsite, an atmosphere that harks back to the days gone by of unfussy, “real” camping, with paired backed facilities and a wonderfully distinct lack of modern intrusions.  On arrival, a warm welcome awaits you from the owners - who also run a B&B on the old farm site - and you can pitch anywhere you fancy in the long, wildflower-strewn grass. The campsite spans across 7 acres and the grassy areas are interspersed with woodland copses and pretty glades.  

All are welcome; tents, caravans and campervans; this is camping as it used to be, with no set pitches, no showers, no electricity, no wifi - and it is all part of the charm of the place.  Campfires are actively encouraged and wood can be bought onsite.  Come here for a digital detox, to get back to nature and enjoy the gorgeous surrounding views.  The campsite has composting toilets and taps providing drinking water, but otherwise, this is as close to wild camping as you are able to get - without actually breaking any rules of pitching randomly in someone’s field.  It’s rather magical. 

Ebborways Farm is in an enviable location, situated in the village of Priddy and nestled into the heart of the extraordinarily beautiful Mendip Hills in Somerset; an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  It is hard to believe you are only 40 minutes from Bristol here, the city feels a million miles away.  The limestone hills of the Mendips are one of England’s most special and attractive places, with Chew Valley lake and a stunning landscape of steep slopes, spectacular gorges and grasslands full of flowers and wildlife.  Beneath the hills are the world-renowned Mendip Caves - Cheddar and Wookey Hole caves being the most famous attractions and accessible for all; the more tricky-to-reach caverns are popular with serious cavers looking for a challenge.  Overground, the top of the hills provide stunning views across to Wales, the Quantock Hills and Glastonbury Tor; the latter being known as one of the most spiritual places in England as well as the site of the legendary Glastonbury Festival.

And talking of festivals, Ebborways Farm is a great place to stay if you are planning on attending a festival in the area; it is one of the allocated campsites for the Priddy Folk Festival held annually in mid-July.  Other local festivals include the Top of the Gorge Festival, the Priddy Funday and Craft Fair and the Guy Fawkes Illuminated Carnival. 

The campsite is a tranquil getaway.  It is quiet, and relaxed and provides uninterrupted views across the beautiful Somerset hills.  In the evenings, wind down around a campfire with friends and family, watch the sunset and get back to proper laid-back outdoor living. Or wander into the village of Priddy to the excellent Queen Victoria Inn for a meal cooked with local produce and sample some of the delicious ciders on offer (you are in Somerset, after all, it would be rude not to).  This informal and back-to-basics campsite is a true gem in the Mendip Hills; the sense of space and freedom and uncomplicated living makes for a beautiful holiday.

Having its ancient market square, famous limestone gorge together with vow of something yummy to pop a cracker on, the Cheddar Treasure Hunt Trail is calling down for dairy-loving detectives.Before getting a slice associated with the action, download your route PDF. It's essential to working your way across the path with handy tips and hints leading you to definitely clues that are tasty over the town. These is likely to be craftily disguised on signposts, monuments and more, so you'll need a bloodhound's nose to sniff em' out!The trail should take around 2 hours to polish down and begins during the entrance to Gough's Cave, before winding through the village that is scenic. A trip here, but, will be wasted without a trip into Cheddar Gorge, so combine the two for a full of enjoyable day. State cheese!
