Set in an ancient wooded valley spanning six acres, our Bedford TK has been lovingly restored from a horsebox into a luxury glamper van for your off-grid getaway in Mitford, Northumberland. Described as a cottage on wheels, stunning panoramic views of ancient woodland surround the quiet little spot it sits in.

Our first glamper to be renovated, the 1964 Bedford TK is an off-grid luxury home on wheels. The Horsebox is situated in a quiet meadow with:

– Solar electricity & USB charging ports– Hot shower– Complimentary Faith in Nature shampoo, conditioner and body wash– Towels & bedding– Gas boiler and hob– Wood burning stove with oven– Outdoor fire pit & cast iron cooking set– Outdoor breakfast bar & canopy– Outdoor decking area

The sleeping area above the cab features a double bed with a memory foam mattress complete with luxury feather bedding and a beautiful porthole window to gaze out of at night. There is additional sleeping space on the sofa day-bed, which can be used as a bed for another guest, ideally a child but it could also accommodate an adult. Another child could sleep on a pull-out mattress if needed for a family of four. Children however are welcome to camp outside of the wagon if they want to.

The outdoor area has a cute decking space with seating, canopy & breakfast bar to the side of wagon with stools, tables and a fire-pit for cooking or relaxing by.

The site is located just 0.9 miles from the ancient market town of Morpeth and the train station, but is far enough away to feel secluded.

Our luxury converted Bedford TK horsebox is sited in the meadow of Little Low Haugh in Mitford, just 0.9 miles from Morpeth. With stunning panoramic views of the ancient Borough Woods enveloping the quiet little spot it sits in. 

This classic TK has been described as a cottage on wheels, with handmade furnishings, hot shower, wood burning stove, gas hob, outdoor dining and decking area, and LED lighting throughout. The sleeping area is a double bed with luxury bedding, with additional sleeping space for a small adult or child on a single sofa day-bed.

The toilet facilities are portable eco-friendly dry toilets that are located adjacent to the Horsebox in a converted railway luggage carrier. Hand washing facilities, toilet roll, soap, and hand sanitiser are all provided within the unit.

North Lizard is an approved and accredited BHS school that is riding providing total beginners to experienced riders superb days out in the countryside!  A range is offered by them of lessons, team lessons, and treks, on very carefully chosen horses and ponies to match you and your capability. These classes can be obtained 7 days a, including some evenings week! This is certainly a way that is excellent socialise with other horse enthusiasts and also to keep active. Additionally available are Pony Care times, where you can have a riding lesson, a hack out, receive a lecture, and also at the last end gather a rosette!  North Lizard Riding School caters for periodic visitors who would like to enhance their horse ability that is riding for regular cyclists who would like to study from the start, or for those who are finding its way back to your sport to re-learn their skills and regain their physical fitness levels. Group Lessons are class classes which are grouped in accordance with your ability. They begin at Beginner Level and work most of the genuine means through to Advanced. You'll be evaluated on your own visit that is very first to Lizard Riding School and certainly will have to give a brief description of the previous capability when scheduling. Every driver that is newor their Guardian if under 16 years) must finish a Rider Registration Form and Code of Conduct. South Shields Surf School

At South Shields Surf School we operate a surf school from Sandhaven Beach. We give surf lessons, run a kids surf club and hire out boards & suits.

Kids Surf Lessons
2 hours of fun on the beach and in the sea for kids 6-18 years. Everyday at weekends and school holiday 10-12 in the morning.

The kids will learn the skills to catch waves and get up standing and riding.

£20 per person including all the gear needed. 

Adult Surf Lessons 
2 hour surf lesson for adults only. 6-8pm every Thursday and Friday.

We'll get you standing on the board on a wave and then develop your surfing and improve your technique from there.

Open Surf Lessons
2 hour surf lesson open to anyone. 2-4pm every Saturday and Sunday.

SUP
An hour and a half of stand up paddle boarding to give you the skills to be up and paddling about.

Rockpooling
1 and a half hours of family fun seeing what's been left behind by the tide in our rock pools. Come along and see what you can find.

Don't want to have a lesson? Not a problem, we can hire you everything you need to enjoy surfing here in the North Sea, so you just need yourself, swimwear, a towel and warm clothes for afterwards!
