John Muir Country Park

John Muir nation Park is an area that is very good take the family, with a variety of activities available, including pony trips and wildlife trails. It may be entirely on a pleasant stretch of coastline, rendering it a lovely and destination that is interesting visit with plenty to see and do. It is named after John Muir, a naturalist, explorer and conservationist.The park covers a few of the most coastline that is dazzling East Lothian, with plenty of wildlife for the household to watch out for and luxuriate in. It's an spot that is particularly good birdwatchers, with kittiwake in the castle ruins, shelduck and eider duck into the dunes, plus skylarks and lapwings through the summer time. You will find gannets, terns, ringed plovers, sand martins and a whole lot more!Other shows to learn will be the Castle Ruins in Dunbar, the Peffer Burn (6 kilometres to your north), plus a brilliant Cliff Top Trail, with a few fantastic views to enjoy, like the historic Bass Rock, the sandy that is very long of Belhaven Bay, and extensive areas of grassland, sodium marsh and woodland. You are able to understand sea!There is also a big children's' play area by Linkfield carpark, plus 2 BBQ stoves available to hire, with the young ones if you prepare ahead so you can really make on a daily basis from it.
