Durham Botanic Garden has plant collections from around the globe, including China, Japan, united states, Southern Africa, New Zealand and Chile, in addition to a woodland garden, alpine garden and bamboo grove.In the glasshouses there are a collection of tropical rainforest plants, wilderness flowers, and much more familiar flowers through the Mediterranean. Additionally has some insects which are tropical scorpions and tarantulas. The arboretum is grazed by rare breed sheep.Don't miss the magnificent monkey puzzle tree that dominates the centre regarding the yard, and be sure to avoid at the apiary in belated summer time to early spring.
