About This Activity

Gosford Sands the beautiful sands distribute right down to muddy expanses when the tide recedes, which will make it a habitat that is good wading birds such as the curlew and grey plover who flock there en masse, so it's a great journey for the little twitchers. It's outstanding beach for kite flying and coastal hiking, as possible take the John Muir Way from Cockenzie to Aberlady passing Gosford Sands on the way. Also great for sandcastle exploring and building. There's absolutely no lifeguard address so be swimming that is careful paddling. South associated with the beach and in clear view sits the century that is 18th Estate that has an extensive art collection, is available to the public through the summer months. There are no immediate amenities so you really should be ready for - well, everything! First refreshment and help requirements, assaults of toilet or weather emergency: it is all you! Having said that, there are no roving hoards of chavs, no discordant jangles of arcade gubbins and frankly it is possible to often have the area to yourselves! Worth the isolation! The postcode given is for the place that is nearest which has one for satnav, do please plan your journey independently.
