Dittisham Boat Hire

Dittisham Boat Hire Ltd operate from the pontoon by the Ferry Boat Inn, in the village of Dittisham, just up from Dartmouth on the beautiful River Dart. We offer a range of easy to operate self-drive motor boats, including Orkney Longliners and Whaly 435s. Our sailing boats include a Drascombe Lugger and for the more experienced a 21ft day sailer. We also offer Kayaks (single and double) and Stand up Paddle Boards.

The River Dart is one of the most beautiful rivers in the country. From Dittisham it is possible to sail down river to Dartmouth or up river to Totnes, with opportunities to explore the many creeks and beautiful places to stop for a picnic or just moor up for a visit to one of the stunning riverside pubs. Dittisham is one of the most charming, characterful villages in the area and is a natural haven for families to congregate to enjoy the most stunning views across the River. Children (and adults!) spend hours of fun crabbing off the pontoon and with two fabulous waterside hostelries The Ferry Boat Inn and Anchorstone Cafe, drinks, food, ice creams and more are available throughout the day and evening. A whole day of fun can be had, just soaking up the atmosphere of a truly magical place. Next to the car park, along the river front, there is also a small open park, a great little place for families to have a run around, play games or for children to use the swing park. There are also public conveniences located there too.
