Millom Discovery Centre

Simply take children on a journey through time with quizzes, doll trains and dressing at Millom Discovery Centre. Whom claims history has to be boring?!Located at Millom Train Station in an old Victorian building, the centre is an open door to tales and truth from around the area that is neighborhood. Mining, railways, wartime and more are up for exploration and their tales are told with an ever-growing collection of over 10,000 artefacts (!) and recorded commentaries, in addition to an extra enthusiastic team of volunteers.This is not your typical museum with a activity that is special for young ones whom can not manage cold, hard facts quite yet. Take part in a quiz or piece together the past with a jigsaw; there are many picture books, pieces to decorate in and train that is even small - basically everything that makes learning fun!
