Worden Park play ground is by far the biggest in Leyland and has an awesome 22 items for toddlers (many years 2 to 6) including swings, climbing structures, springy toys and a sand that is large complete with sand diggers. There are 14 items for juniors (many years 7 to 12) including swings, a see-saw, climbing structures, slides, rope climbing frame and cableway.The hedge that is historic is open to people at all times and is one of hardly any such mazes which is totally free to explore. As a result of the chronilogical age of the maze, site visitors are asked to take care never to harm the hedging that is ancient young kids must certanly be monitored all the time. Worden's maze has a lime tree at the heart and (fair caution!) also has the excess function of having two entrances, one being the real entry plus the other being a fool's or false entry leading simply to dead leads to either direction.The Leyland Society of Model engineers have been running at Worden for nearly so long as the park has been open to people. They supply free trips to your public on Tuesdays, Sundays and bank vacations (influenced by the elements) round the park's wildflower meadows on a newly extended route that is now almost 1km long!
