Merchant's House Museum

Currently shut for conservation work until further notice.Today, the Merchant's House Museum is the largest and finest surviving exemplory case of a late sixteenth and early century that is 17th in Plymouth. The home is split into 7 spaces, each one using its very own theme that is main the shows examine aspects of Plymouth's previous history, from transport and trade towards the effects of the Second World War.The social reputation for a bygone age is revealed with a contrast between the rich and bad, while the Victorian school room reflects the growth of mass education within the last century.Image "The Marchant's House" copyright Reading Tom via Flickr.
