About This Activity

At Greens Windmill and Science Centre test out light, electricity and magnetism in the footsteps of mathematical physicist George Green (1793 to 1841) and read about their life's work and achievements in this charming tribute to at least one of Britain's undersold geniuses. Not that is most the right role model for the children he really left school at 10 years old, but in later on life their self-taught mathematical smarts led him to create a few significant theorems that are still in use today! The windmill it self just turns when the climate is appropriately strong, so do not let the young ones get worked up about seeing it work unless it is windy once you set out!there are several seasonal craft and cookery sessions held here throughout every season worth watching down for. Plus as an even more practical souvenir than typical you'll choose a bag up of their Organic Food award winning flour! You can find actions up from the car park on Windmill Lane. You will get to the millyard via Belvoir Hill that will be considerably easier if you have flexibility problems.
