For this we had to truly have the timber that is current stove taken out having its associated flue that went up through the bedroom!! Shall we say getting the flue into the bed room did rather limit where in fact the bed could possibly be positioned - i.e. one destination just. And so the kitchen stove that is old and had been changed with a new (and very efficient) one with all the flue properly embedded in the metre thick walls. This intended that unused space over the utility room could be changed into an shower room that is en-suite. During the time that is same decided to get the primary upstairs restroom totally refurbished. Regrettably a damp wall dictated additional work and brand new windows within the home along with a bill that is big. Finally - to re-create a small amount of history, we thought we would disguise the flue for the kitchen stove that is brand new a mock bell tower filled with silent bell! A number of our guests return after 12 months ; lets hope they like exactly what they see year! Photographs may be available March that is belated 2012.
