Fuzzys Farm

You know that you are in no ordinary campsite here when you step across the threshold and are met by a gaggle of geese, ducks, chickens and Alpacas, all roaming (semi wildly) around this lovely spot in the idyllic Hertfordshire countryside, just outside the village of Potten End in the Chiltern Hills. It is hard to believe you are only half an hour on the train from London here in these beautiful and tranquil surroundings. Fuzzy’s Farm is nothing short of awesome, and if you are looking for a break that gets you living outside in nature and also something rather fun - you have come to the right place. The campsite is fully themed around life in the Wild West, with brightly coloured luxury tipis at the heart of the site, equipped with everything you might need for a very comfortable stay. There is a hand-crafted and completely unique “Wild West Street” complete with shuttered windows, horse troughs and a chuckwagon, so you can get fully immersed into the Wild West life.

The three Tipis themselves are brilliant. Sleeping 8 comfortably on camp beds, they can be hired out either individually or take all three if you have a big group. Shared facilities include a fire pit with tree stump seating to gather around in the evenings, a BBQ, washing up area, drinking water, shared shower facilities and iron pots if you want to brave campfire cooking (there is also a gas stove if you don’t!) Each Tipi has its very own assigned toilet and a picnic bench for al fresco dining. All you need to remember is bedding, towels, torch, food and a cowboy outfit (not compulsory).

Fuzzy’s Farm can be booked out exclusively and it also hosts Wild West themed parties if you want to really go the whole Cowboy hog. There is a Horse Box Bar to hire out for serving drinks (the only one of its kind, surely?!) and entertainers can be arranged to make any children's party really special.

If you are exploring the area or wanting a break in the countryside, Fuzzy’s Farm is in an ideal location, situated between Hemel Hempstead and Berkhamsted. There are many family friendly attractions nearby such as the Harry Potter Warner Bros studio tour, Whipsnade Zoo and the Ashridge Estate. The Chiltern Hills are a really beautiful area; over 324 square miles of superb scenery, charming villages, market towns and fantastic walking and cycling trails, so make sure you leave plenty of time to explore this gorgeous part of the country.

Fuzzy’s Farm is a fantastic place to watch the sun go down at the end of the evening, a great spot to relax, light the fire and toast marshmallows. If you don’t want to cook then there are some fantastic local pubs to eat at - the village of Potten End is only a few minutes stroll away - or as a treat, get a takeaway delivered to the site! But for a really authentic experience, get cooking over that old smokey fire….!
