or sit and watch the twinkling night sky and listen to the sounds of nature. You won't believe just how many stars you can see! Wildlife is actively encouraged - there are badgers, deer and pheasant in the area - lovely sounds to hear while watching the sun set!

Motorhome Pitch

Damson Field is great for families looking for a relaxing get away. Noise is kept down so visitors can connect back with nature making it a great place for couples to unwind. There is a lovely big area in the middle of the field has been cleared for children to play in and if you are lucky you may find one or two big hay bales to climb on!


Grass Pitch

Damson Field is a small, quiet, pop-up site with 20 well spaced pitches set in a 10 acre field and situated in the peace and quiet of the East Sussex countryside, overlooking Bodiam Castle and near the village of Ewhurst Green. There are clean portaloos (separate male/female) and a standpipe with fresh water. As the site is rustic and unspoilt there are no showers or waste disposal unit. The site is secure and fenced. Tents, campervans, motor homes only.

The Dogwood Caravan

**Max. 2 Adults, 2 Children under 12**

Reached down a leafy lane lined with Oak trees, the yurt is a 20 foot diameter, felt-lined Ornate Turkmen built from Ash trees sourced from the Glyndebourne Forest and is of a strikingly beautiful construct. It has a 6 foot roof wheel which is great for lighting during the day and on clear nights gives fine views of the stars; it is also possible to partially open up the roof.

There are barn owls, badgers and rabbits for company and the surroundings are usually alive with birdsong, with an amazing morning and dusk chorus. Externally the yurt is surrounded by decking and is separated from the campsite in its own private space including a firepit and picnic table; there is parking very close by. Internally the yurt is decorated in an eclectic but chiefly Tibetan style.

The Bell Tent In The Wood

Tucked away amongst ash and willow trees and overlooking a bamboo-lined pond, the Dogwood Cabin is a haven of peace and tranquility.  The cosy, heated pine cabin is decorated in an Eastern-style and has a futon double bed with luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets. This fully-insulated retreat has all the modern comforts glampers have come to expect – silent mini-fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and a compost loo – but with one unique difference. Nestled in the heart of the High Weald, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the cabin affords glampers the chance to experience a real back-to-nature visit. From the comfort of your cabin, you can just slide open the patio doors and let the birdsong fill the cabin as you watch our resident chickens or visiting ducks waddle past. There is even a suntrap meditation deck for those who enjoy quiet, reflective time. In the mornings you can order breakfast brought straight to your door. And at nights, after a meal at the pub, you can warm yourself with your own fire pit and toast marshmallows while looking out for shooting stars in our noted dark skies.

Little Saltcote


About
Edwardian home that is semi-detached.  Sits in quiet environments within easy walking distance of city.  Refurbished to a standard that is high.  Each space offers its very own identification and appeal, known as after a town that is neighborhood.  Minimal Saltcote is non-smoking, but thoughtful for those who wish to smoke outside.  This friendly guest that is family-run has contemporary facilities and any such thing that will be not currently supplied into the spaces is usually available upon request.  Visitors have utilization of the garden that is a new comer to relax in with their afternoon cup of tea.  Trouser hairdryer and press available.

Dandelion Bell Tent sleeps up to 4 people and is perfect for those wanting to get away but don't want the hassle of putting up a tent! We have added a double bed and 2 single futon beds (you will need to provide your own bedding).

Dandelion is on the right of our field between Nettle and Willow .

A fire ring and picnic bench are provided and you can buy a fire kit or just some logs from the country store on site.

As well as your own composting loo you have use of the communal hot showers and washing up station.

Wren sits in a truly beautiful setting, next to the SSSI woodland.  The tent is fully furnished with two bedrooms, one has a double bed and another has a double bed with a bunk bed over.  There is a kitchen area with everything you need for a group of five,  and somewhere to sit and relax. You will have your own loo and shower too.  Outside there is a deck where you can sit and enjoy a leisurely breakfast or lunch whilst listening to the wildlife.  There is a fire pit and camp chairs for toasting marshmallows or cooking up a feast.

Wren Safari Tent

​Thistle Bell Tent sleeps up to 4 people and is perfect for those wanting to get away but don't want the hassle of putting up a tent! We have added a double bed and 2 single futon beds. (you will need to provide your own bedding).  

Thistle gets the best of the morning and evening sun which you can enjoy from the picnic bench provided. 

A fire ring is provided and you can buy a fire starter kit or just some logs from the country store on site.

As well as your own composting loo you have use of the communal hot showers and washing up station.

Thistle is near the bottom of our site and the walk to the top is on an incline, nothing major but worth mentioning.

Thistle Naked Bell Tent

Our camping field is kept natural with long grass in between pitches with plenty of space for kids young and old to run about and play. Each pitch comes with its own fire ring, fire starting kits, logs and camping fuel are all available to buy from the country store on site.

​There are hot showers and composting loos as well as a hot water washing up station available. Drinking water is available at the washing up station as well as at various areas around the site.

Please note our camping field is on a slope, it is not extreme but it is worth mentioning.

Grass Pitch 

​Bramble is a 5 metre cotton canvas bell tent.  It's furnished with a comfortable double bed to ensure a restful sleep and two single futon beds. Side tables, a dressing table, and two directors chairs are also included in our cosy retreat. 

You will have a private compost loo, hot shower (please bring your own towels), fire bowl with cooking and bbq attachments as well as a kitchen area with a camping stove.  All the equipment you need for cooking, eating and drinking is included to shorten your packing list.  We also have a picnic table available for your enjoyment.

All of this is in a secluded area of our 6 acre campsite.

There is a farm shop on site selling local produce, take away snacks, hot drinks and alcohol so you will be well catered for.  If you don't fancy cooking then Cranbrook's pubs, restaurants and cafes are a 20 minute walk away along a footpath.

Bramble is tucked away at the bottom of our site just beyond the camping field fortified by surrounding trees. There is a slope up to the entrance.

Dressed Bell Tent (Bramble)

Robin Safari Tent

Nettle is a 5 metre cotton canvas bell tent. This year it is furnished with a comfortable double bed to ensure a restful sleep and two single futon beds. Side tables, a dressing table, and two directors chairs are also included in our cosy retreat.  Two single futon beds can be added at your request.

You will have a private compost loo, hot shower (please bring your own towels), fire bowl with cooking and bbq attachments as well as a kitchen area with a camping stove. Hello and welcome to Star Field Glamping and Camping at Charity Farm, a family run glamping and campsite based on a working farm in Cranbrook, Kent.

If you're looking for a simple off-grid country retreat to enjoy a well-earned break with a clear view of the night sky, then we've got a pitch for you. If you fancy something a little more glamorous, we've got you covered as well. 

Please note that there is a compulsory fee of £12 for the Greener Camping Club which has to be added to every booking.

Star Field Glamping and Camping at Charity Farm

**Weekends are min 3 nights stay**

Wheatfields Glamping has two luxury Safari stryle tents/lodges generously spaced apart.  Skylark is the larger of the two tents also  sleeping 8 people but with more living and deck space and glass bi-fold doors.

The main difference is an extra bedroom with a king sized bed which can be split into two twin beds on request.

Skylark also has a larger wheelchair accessible bathroom with walk in shower.

The kitchen and living area has a great bar with stools, large round table seating eight and comfy sofa area  in front of the woodturning stove.

Skylark sleeps up to 8 people in four separate bed rooms:

* The Master main has a king-sized four-poster bed.

* The Cabin has a double bed and is accessed by a ladder.

* The Bunk room has one adult strong bunk beds sleeping 2.

* The twin room beds can be joined together to make a king.

* Travel cot available free of charge.

* The site is in a secluded but not remote spot along a farm track. It is off grid, we use solar and 12v batteries to power lights in all the rooms, a USB port and the fridges.  Outside lights are kept to a minimum to preserve the special “Dark Sky” all the better to enjoy stargazing. Please bring power banks or charge your devices in your car as a backup.

Candles are not allowed inside the tent due to fire risk, but can be used outside on the decking areas. 

We use gas for the showers, fridges and kitchen hobs.

**Bedroom**

Our beds have very comfortable new mattresses, duvets and extra blankets and hot water bottles if required.

Beds are made up upon arrival with our luxurous stone-washed natural bed linen with its contempory natural crumpled look. Its made from re-newable flax & boasts anti-allergic properties.

**Kitchen**

The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, standard kichen utensils and cooking pots & pans, kettle & coffee maker, fridge and a two ringed gas hob.

We supply coffee, tea, sugar and other basic condiments. Fresh milk can be found in the fridge. 

**Shower room**

The shower room sits on the back deck and is accessible for wheelchair users with walk in hot shower, raised flushing toilet. Towels are provided for each person staying. Complimentary products from local business Wideye who create their own natural skin and bodycare products.  We support Wideye’s policy not to use single use plastics and  so their products are supplied in refillable glass bottles and soap bars. 

Skylark Tent

Wheatfields Glamping has two luxury Safari stryle tents/lodges generously spaced apart. Sandpiper is the smaller of the two tents sleeping up 6-8 people in three bedrooms. See the plan below.

Sandpiper also has additional space on offer with our pretty Bell Tent situated just next to the main tent with its old double iron bed. The Bell Tent is only available for guests of Sandpiper and is popular when two families are sharing the tent.

New to 2022 is a "Outside Kitchen" with a gas BBQ and "ooni" Pizza oven - great place to cook with friends at the bar.

Sand Piper

Wheatfields offers two unique luxury  safari lodges set in a stunning location on the edge of Romney Marsh, close to the historic town of Rye. Offering spacious, en-suite Safari tents that can sleep up to eight people, perfect for families and groups of friends, and the dog who want to spend a special time together enjoying the big outdoors.

The tents are nestled around a pond on our family run 500 acre working arable farm on the edge of Romney Marsh in the Rother Valley. Large deck areas front and back offer alternative sitting options to enjoy the different views across the marsh or towards the stunning ancient cliff of the Isle of Oxney. 

Stonewashed luxury bed linen is supplied on the double beds with lovely cotton linen for the twins and bunks Towels are also supplied. The tents have their own bathrooms with a hot showers, basin and flushing toilet. Complimentary toiletries are supplied by local business  The kitchens are fully equiped and have have gas hob, fridge and all the basic essentials; tea, coffee, milk and cooking seasonings ec. The living areas have large tables for everyone and comfy sofas to relax in front of the log burner complete with small oven. To retain the amazing “Dark Sky” there are no outdoor lights used at Wheatfields. If you love star-gazing this is the place to be. Wheatfields is off-grid with solar lighting & limited USB charging, please bring your own back-up power packs and car chargers.


Skylark is the larger of the tents with three double bedrooms (one can be either a king double of twins). The Bell Tent next to Sandpiper is included in its price and is only available to sandpiper guests. This acts as the third double bedroom.
