Moss Rose Campsite is a peaceful, isolated site in the Lancashire countryside, about 10 minutes’ drive from the M6 and half an hour north of Preston.

This is a splendid spot for those who’d like a bit of peace and quiet – pitches are on a simple grass field well away from any neighbours. You’ll have to travel down a long farm track to get here (it’s rather rough and bumpy, so take it slowly) but the reward is a spacious and secluded stay on a small traditional family-run working farm with views out over fields of farm animals. (The owners describe it as ‘somewhat alike to The Darling Buds of May’, for those who remember such telly treats.)

Hatters Farm Caravan Site is situated on a working farm in a quiet, peaceful and secluded rural area close to the village of Stalmine.

We offer basic facilities including hardstandings, drinking water, electric hook ups, emptying point and a small shower room with a toilet.

We are a good spot for birdwatching; redshank, yellowhammer and pink-footed geese in winter. Barn owls, tawny owls, foxes badgers and otters have been seen aswell!

Fylde Society of Model Engineers The St Georges Sports Field and recreations centre look after a number of popular team and sports which can be individual. The Marsh Mill miniature railway is a 1/4 mile track that is circular sideways of this primary activities fields. Trains run and bank holiday afternoons throughout every season (climate permitting) sunday. All rides are free, contributions most welcome.
