Situated just 20 minutes from the centre of Bath and only 30 minutes from Bristol we are perfectly placed to help you get back to basics and start enjoying the great outdoors. We are now taking bookings for the 2021 season and are looking forward to welcoming everyone we can. 

Within easy reach of many great attractions like Wookey Hole and Longleat Safari Park - details below. Or just take your time to soak up your surroundings and get to know the walk to the village pub.

Although there is plenty of room to spread out and we do not have specific pitches, we are limited on the number of people on site so please book early to avoid disappointment. 

From the campsite you can access the extensive footpath and bridle ways around the area, and we are within easy reach of both the Mendips and the southern tip of the Cotswolds

Perched at one end of camp in a very secluded spot, under an ash tree.

 Wossnem’s location means you can also spot the race horses being trained over the wall in the mornings. Close to the car park and around 2 minutes walk to the main facilities.

The camp is divided into two spaces; Cotton Breeches (sleeps up to 16 guests) and Fry’s Wood (sleeps up to 20 guests). Both are suitable for large groups to enjoy their own private space making it the ideal venue for a zen hen or a mature stag do without disturbing other guests. 

Fry’s wood can be divided up into individual tents for families or smaller groups at certain times of the year, and children and babies are of course welcome. We make sure that families never share their camp space with large groups. The Farm Camp is on a working sheep farm, so regretfully pets must stay at home.

Gathering friends and feasting in the great outdoors is a huge part of the experience. There are BBQs, gas hobs and fire bowls and a well-equipped camp kitchen, plus the Flock & Feed dining shelter with seating for all. The Gather Round is a sheltered area where you can meet other guests for campfire conversations, while your wooded corner is completely private if you want some time to yourself.

Half a mile down the lane are the main farm buildings, where you’ll find not only power but also an indoor heated swimming pool and a games room. While there are no rules, we encourage our guests to make the most of their time off-grid at The Farm Camp, and those who want to really switch off can use our tech lockers to prevent the outside world from creeping in.

With our superb location just outside Bath, and endless things to do in the area, a stay at The Farm Camp is something to remember. From bike rides to yoga sessions, fitness sessions, or exploring the pretty town of Bradford on Avon or Bath just a short drive away. 

The local area also boasts some of the UK’s top wild swimming spots, all within 30 minutes walk. We also offer Farm/ Woodland activities including the very popular sheep herding, farm tours, fire lighting, den building and more depending on the season. These activities need to be booked in advance.

The facilities are excellent here: there is a well-equipped camp kitchen, a large sheltered dining area (the ‘Flock and Feed’) which can accommodate up to 20 people, hot showers (towels are provided), private composting loos and an area called ‘The Gather Round’ where people can congregate and meet up with other guests.  A digital detox is available to those who want to take the plunge of completely unplugging and switching off.  The campsite provides lockers to hide away all tech distractions if you crave some genuine digital peace - it is a brave but excellent move, and with all the things going on here, chances are you won’t even miss it.  Instead, you will be inspired to engage with the natural world around you.  

There are adventures to be had for those who want them.  The setting of Farm Camp is glorious, and on the surrounding farmland you can tackle the ancient art of sheep herding, get arty with a number of creative woodland experiences or get hands on in a bushcraft session.  There are a whole host of activities to try out; have a go at archery, yoga or (for the brave few) an outdoor bootcamp.  If you prefer a more leisurely experience, the lovely people here will also book tours of the local organic vineyard, where you can sample some homegrown wine.

The Farm Camp is open from late March until late October and they welcome groups of family, friends or colleagues looking to enjoy a rustic, back to nature experience.  For very large groups, you can book the whole camp out exclusively, a real treat for birthdays or family get-togethers.  This authentic and utterly lovely campsite retreat was created to inspire people to live healthier, more balanced and simpler lives, and the joyous testimonies of those who have stayed here, show that this place really does work its magic.

Grass Pitch - Tents, Caravans & Campervans

There is a refreshingly relaxed and old-school atmosphere here at Ebboways Farm campsite, an atmosphere that harks back to the days gone by of unfussy, “real” camping, with paired backed facilities and a wonderfully distinct lack of modern intrusions.  On arrival, a warm welcome awaits you from the owners - who also run a B&B on the old farm site - and you can pitch anywhere you fancy in the long, wildflower-strewn grass. The campsite spans across 7 acres and the grassy areas are interspersed with woodland copses and pretty glades.  

All are welcome; tents, caravans and campervans; this is camping as it used to be, with no set pitches, no showers, no electricity, no wifi - and it is all part of the charm of the place.  Campfires are actively encouraged and wood can be bought onsite.  Come here for a digital detox, to get back to nature and enjoy the gorgeous surrounding views.  The campsite has composting toilets and taps providing drinking water, but otherwise, this is as close to wild camping as you are able to get - without actually breaking any rules of pitching randomly in someone’s field.  It’s rather magical. 

Ebborways Farm is in an enviable location, situated in the village of Priddy and nestled into the heart of the extraordinarily beautiful Mendip Hills in Somerset; an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  It is hard to believe you are only 40 minutes from Bristol here, the city feels a million miles away.  The limestone hills of the Mendips are one of England’s most special and attractive places, with Chew Valley lake and a stunning landscape of steep slopes, spectacular gorges and grasslands full of flowers and wildlife.  Beneath the hills are the world-renowned Mendip Caves - Cheddar and Wookey Hole caves being the most famous attractions and accessible for all; the more tricky-to-reach caverns are popular with serious cavers looking for a challenge.  Overground, the top of the hills provide stunning views across to Wales, the Quantock Hills and Glastonbury Tor; the latter being known as one of the most spiritual places in England as well as the site of the legendary Glastonbury Festival.

And talking of festivals, Ebborways Farm is a great place to stay if you are planning on attending a festival in the area; it is one of the allocated campsites for the Priddy Folk Festival held annually in mid-July.  Other local festivals include the Top of the Gorge Festival, the Priddy Funday and Craft Fair and the Guy Fawkes Illuminated Carnival. 

The campsite is a tranquil getaway.  It is quiet, and relaxed and provides uninterrupted views across the beautiful Somerset hills.  In the evenings, wind down around a campfire with friends and family, watch the sunset and get back to proper laid-back outdoor living. Or wander into the village of Priddy to the excellent Queen Victoria Inn for a meal cooked with local produce and sample some of the delicious ciders on offer (you are in Somerset, after all, it would be rude not to).  This informal and back-to-basics campsite is a true gem in the Mendip Hills; the sense of space and freedom and uncomplicated living makes for a beautiful holiday.

Stand up paddleboarding (SUP) is currently the fastest growing sport in the world today - and once you've tried it for yourself you'll see why. SUP doesn't require large amounts intensive dry land instruction before you get a chance to get on the water.

There's just a few basics to grasp and then you're out having fun!

We work from May to October and you can take our paddleboard lessons in Bath, Saltford, Devizes, Stroud or Clevedon. Just imagine paddling down the River Avon amid the beautiful surroundings of Bath. We have entertained groups from Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Sussex and our neighbouring counties on equipment supplied by leading manufacturers including Starboard, Red Paddle and McConks, so that you start your Paddleboard (SUP) Adventure in the best possible way.

Whether you'd like to start learning this fun sport on your own - or in a group of friends, family or colleagues - we can cater for you. Our instructors will provide sessions from 1.5 to 3 hours in length, either teaching you one-to-one or teaching groups of up to ten at a time. We will take you through the basics of stand up paddle boarding until you're Supping with confidence on our Taster Session. Then, if you choose, you can book further progression lessons on our Safe Paddler Award Course or join SUP Bath Paddleboarders.

This water sport is great fun and no prior experience is necessary. We launched Adventure SUP in 2013 after paddling the length of the river Severn from the source to sea, covering 200 miles in various conditions. We really tested the Red Paddle inflatable SUP boards that we use in our school today, so we believe in the kit we provide and the skills we teach. 

We are a British Stand Up Paddleboarding Association (BSUPA) school and club. Working with the association to provide a safe, fun and professional lessons, trips and experience. 



Our adventures and exploration of inland waterways drives us to provide a fun and full experience, in which we hope you walk away with a smile.
