Our Static Caravan acts as bathroom facilities primarily for tents or those tourers /campervans who don't have bathroom facilities. We have 1 shower in here and 2 toilets. There are also 2 additional flushable toilets adjacent to the static caravan. Portable toilets are available to hire. Firepits are also available to hire and we have wood & kindling available to buy.

Please be advised that there is no access to the river from our campsite. Our boundary is marked by a top wire fenceline which must be respected at all times.

Our spacious tent pitches are located down near the river where the ground is fairly flat. All our tent pitches are without electric hook ups.

Near to the main property at Walkmill we have well spaced touring pitches available with electric hook ups. For those tourers who prefer to be off grid you have the option of spacious pitches situated in the crook of the River Coquet.

A beautiful coastline to explore including Warkworth, Dunstanborough and Bamburgh Castle with fabulous beaches in between including Alnmouth, The Sugar Sands at Longhoughton and Embleton Bay. Alnwick Castle & Gardens, Howick Hall & Gardens. For National Trust members we are an ideal base to explore Cragside, Wallington Hall and Holy Island. Alnmouth Station is 10 mins away if you fancy a day trip to Edinburgh or Newcastle.

Facilities include four toilets, a shower and a bath along with a shared kitchen, lounge area and a mini-shop. The pleasant 30 to 40 minute walk to Warkworth Castle takes in the riverside passing by the hermitage and once in Warkworth the wonderful sandy beach stretches for miles.

Dunstanburgh Castle

Preston Tower is a superb exemplory case of medieval masonry, with all the walls stone that is containing being 7foot (Over 2m) thick! The ground flooring contains a guardroom and prison to investigate while the flooring that is first a full time income room and bed room, both of which are embellished because they was during 1400. The ground that is 2nd the system associated with the big clock at the heart of this tower, with faces on both edges. The bell because of this clock, housed in another of the turrets, weighs about 1100lbs (about 500kg)! You may understand space that is flodden this level, which includes a description of the battle by that name, plus interesting extracts from Border history. The tower is surrounded by peaceful gardens, with three brief walks across the grounds and woodland that is nearby. There are lots of interesting flowers to see, a spring regarding the Woodland walk, and you will also see red squirrels if you are lucky! Alnwick Castle grounds has 12 stunning acres of meandering and magnificent, manicured gardens, which is home to the worlds largest Tai Haku Cherry Orchard, a Grand Cascade comprising of 120 water jets, an enormous treehouse restaurant, Ornamental gardens, rose gardens and even a small poison garden - filled with around 100 toxic and narcotic plants!  Don't worry, the garden is behind iron gates and is only open on guided tours.  It is a wonderful place to unwind, explore and be amazed.
