Our largest suite on the first floor with a SuperKing size bed, which can also be configured as a twin.
An additional good quality folding bed can be added to make this into a family room for up to 3 adults.
There is a separate sofa seating area with a Nespresso coffee machine and the ensuite has underfloor heating and a large shower. The York suite also has exclusive use of a small fridge.

Kale Pot Cottage offers comfortable self-catering facilities for walkers, cyclists, or those who just want to experience the peace and tranquillity. Walks or rides start from the front door – along forestry tracks or across the open moor.

For train enthusiasts we are halfway between Levisham Station and Newtondale Halt on the North York Moors Railway (you can even see the steam trains from the paddock).

But to soak up the peace and quiet you need go no further than the barbecue area or the paddock outside the front door.

Kale Pot Cottage has downstairs a double bedroom with its own ensuite bathroom, plus a twin bedded room with separate wetroom. There is space for a third bed in this room if required.
The fully fitted kitchen, lounge and dining area are upstairs, with our very own spring water “on tap”. There is full central heating throughout – with a log stove in the lounge, together with HD television.

There is no mobile signal around Kale Pot but WiFi is available if you need to keep in touch.

Outside is ample fenced parking space with an electric vehicle (EV) fast charging point, a cycle store plus washing facilities and a beautiful walled patio area with its own barbecue.

Amidst the stunning heather-clad scenery of the North York Moors National Park, this group of three cosy cottages is set in a paved courtyard, with seating and colourful planting. Recently updated, the cottages are all very comfortably furnished and presented to a very high standard.

Conveniently close to the Fox and Rabbit pub with restaurant, in superb walking country, the cottages offer an excellent base from which to explore the beautiful North York Moors National Park and Dalby Forest. Just 4 miles away from Pickering with good shopping, restaurants and takeaways, leisure centre and swimming pool, and the famous North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway. Goathland, renowned as Heartbeat’s ’Aidensfield’, is just 7 miles away, and Flamingo Land Theme Park and Eden Camp, a Second World War museum, are both within 10 miles. Castle Howard and Nunnington Hall are within 15 miles as is the coast at Whitby.

Cycle hire, riding and fishing are available locally.
