About This Activity

St Ives Bay actually comprises of three different beaches: Firstly the searching that is magnificent at Porthmeor (a blue flag winner), overlooked by the Tate St Ives memorial. Next Porthgwidden beach is a small sandy treasure with good swimming and a cafe that is handy. Thirdly Porthminster beach stretches half a mile from the city and it is a great family setting, sheltered and relaxed with beach huts, a putting green and a fantastic household friendly restaurant with amazing views.You can walk regarding the the west Coast Path from Porthminster beach over the cliffs and wooded headland to neighbouring Carbis bay and Porth Kidney sands (at minimal tide). A three mile stretch of sand including several smaller beaches, every one of which offer good swimming and watersports opportunities although the surfing it better at the easterly end associated with bay.Lifeguard address June to September, but do check always there is one within sight if your wanting to or your family enter the water on the reverse side for the River Hayle (in which you should never bath) you arrive at Hayle Towans. There's also a lost son or daughter centre and a primary help centre in the beach that is main. Dog ban set up from Sunday 29th March to September that is 30th 2015.
