There are many delightful stores along with a number of places to consume and drink with a vista that is different every corner.The East Coast is 30 miles from Fangfoss as well as the North Yorkshire Moors are a short drive northwards moving through the Howardian Hills. Light , airy and spacious. These semi detached cottages have large open plan living spaces downstairs with a quirky cottage feel upstairs. We have chosen to hire them as a pair as it makes them perfect for large families, groups and parties. The two cottages with allow all 14 to be seated and dined in one room means which means they are perfect for a celebration whilst allowing privacy when necessary. This works well if there are different age groups in the party or if some of the party wish to go get up early / go to bed early and require extra peace and quiet!

The kitchens  in both cottages allow for the best of Sunday Roasts to be served at the banqueting table and enjoyed by everyone in one cottage.

Large lounge seating areas with a supply of fluffy blankets to snuggle up in ensures that everyone can sit together in one cottage, unwind, drink prosecco and chat!

For those wishing to enjoy activities whilst on holiday the kitchen is the hub of this house, It is literally HUGE! (we had one party who moved the table and hosted dance lessons in the kitchen!) Its size makes it perfect for those wanting to enjoy cooking and eating together. It is also an ideal place for group activities.

Supercosy cottage located in gated and fenced gardens. This three bedroomed cottage is quirky and quaint. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms.  One of the bedrooms is located downstairs with a downstairs bathroom which is perfect for an elderly relative or anyone with mobility issues.

Upstairs the sloping ceilings make the remaining two bedrooms intimate and romantic. With Walk in Wardrobes in both rooms and  a separate upstairs bathroom the rooms upstairs are clean, cosy and restful.

This cottage has a really homely feeling and is a perfect base for those wanting to spend the evenings cuddling up on the sofa, hot chocolate and marshmallows after a hard days sightseeing or shopping!

All of our houses are located seven miles East of York, near the Pretty Village of Wilberfoss. We are close to the Yorkshire Wolds & the East Coast. We are set in a rural location within walking distance of  a Yorkshire Wildlife Trust Area . We’re also a short drive away from the Allerthorpe Woods (local wildlife area). We are situated within walking distance of a Thai restaurant. Also there is a direct bus route to the City of York.(Buses stop outside the properties every twenty minutes). The nearest pub is the Oddfellows at Wilberfoss (Quarter of a mile) or  The Half Moon which is a short journey (2 miles) to Newton upon Derwent.

The properties will suit anyone who likes a mix of a countryside setting with close access to city amenities. York is a fifteen minute drive away, however our local Villages boast Stunning Walks, Fantastic Farms Shops & Cafe Bars, The Award winning Pocklington Arts Centre, Golf Clubs, Pocklington Canal, Gliding Club and  Attractions such as The Elvington Air Museum. The Mile Caravan Park is open all year round and is perfect for families, couples or individuals and well behaved pets to explore York, the Yorkshire Wolds and the Yorkshire Coastline.

Our flat, well-drained pitches all have electric hook up and WiFi and are suitable for caravans, tents and motorhomes. We have 15 hard-standing pitches also.

The site has views across the Yorkshire Wolds and is only a 15 minute walk from the market town of Pocklington. Guests are welcome to use our on site shop which, stocks staples such as bacon, eggs, bread and milk.

Every Wednesday through the Summer Holidays is dedicated to them while offering extra enjoyable in the forms of led tracks, teddy bear picnics, music workshops, Punch and Judy programs and a whole time based around fairies while young ones are welcomed at Burnby Hall Gardens at any time! Even with absolutely nothing extra going on they truly are delightful Gardens, good and near the centre of Pocklington so easy to get into and house to a National assortment of Hardy Water Lilies, the collection that is biggest from it's kind can be found in an all natural environment in Europe! The 2 lakes that have the lilies are set in eight acres of beautiful gardens: including rock gardens, an all-natural shrubbery, formal beds, the trick Garden, a Victorian Garden and several other fascinating elements too! In addition they offer unique concerts which are outside the lands, and regular events such as falconry shows and the ones kid's game days we talked about, so call or check ahead for details particularly if the holiday breaks are coming, it is positively well worth preparing your visit to coincide with something unique!

Either that or 'it, they will come&' because since all the work it is become terribly popular!So you have vast swathes of green parkland to relax and play conventional family games in, plus an array of exceptional quality adventure play gear ideal for many many years and abilities which are all in lovely condition having only been recently installed!Classic features include normal and nest swings, zip wire and play fort, plus there are many uncommon people like the wood car if you develop. You know what they say concerning the car that is woodn't you? It wooden go! We want royalties if you tell that to your kids!
