Anglers Country Park, located 4 miles southeast of Wakefield, is a large country park and rural retreat, that is fantastic for walking and picnics, and contains a youngsters' adventure playground to burn up any energy that is excess! The park has also a Visitor Centre, a cafe, free airport parking, and it is liberated to go to: hooray!you will find paths and trails to follow along with, such as the 2 mile Lakeside Walk, additionally the Woodland walk, plus is it a good starting place to many other footpaths and trails, such as the Barnsley Canal Towpath, or the Waterton Trail.
